You like Samurai games? Just thought I'd ask since Famitsu is reporting that Spike Co. Ltd. is busy at work on the PSP port of the PS2 original Way of the Samurai Portable 2.

As usual, Japanese gamers will be getting first (hopefully not the only) dibs of the game, reserving a September 3, 2009 release date for JP¥ 3,990 (US$ 42). It is also said that there will be more new modes added to this port, most likely on top of the ad hoc support for versus mode and extra swords added to the game released last year.

Details remain sparse, and publishing rights are still up in the air. We'll fill you in as soon as we get any updates on this. In the meantime, enjoy these screenshots from Famitsu.
