We thank Sleeper for the tip. "Hi I just noticed the new Free Running PSP website! It's got a complete overhaul! And the FAQ has some new entries," he said, "The last question now says its going to be released at the start of 2007. It's now been made by Rebellion and not Core Design." Good news tip, because we've known about this game since last year. What's been happening?

Game history. Long, long ago in the UK, Core Design, the video game developer studio based in Derby, developed the Tomb Raider series. Then the staff and assets of Core was sold by Eidos to Rebellion Developments, an indie development group. This was announced May 11, 2006, so this explains why the game design is now credited to Rebellion and not to Core Design, but the website still says that the game comes from the same "internal team" of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

So there you have it. Expect this "free running" game in 2007. And for you newbies: free running (aka "cooking") is a sport (and an art) developed by Sebastien Foucan where the free runners deal with obstacles in their paths acrobatically and aesthetically. It was inspired by parkour and incorporates "tricking." See this YouTube vid below if you want to see how it's done...

 » pffffffffft :P

My god this will definitely need like 3.2 or sum shiiit like that. This is by far the most stupid concept for a game that I've ever seen in my 34 years of life. Running? Hey here's something, go running urself, ya lazy, fat ,sloth looking, doughboy. Get offa that couch and run and get fit rather than get fat and run in the pretend world.

Anyone who criticizes this game is obvious an out of shape, fat little piggy f@g. Oopps, an oxymoron!

 » LMAO

Out of shape or or not, running around and jumping off walls and ***** is extremely queer. "Freestyle walking" LOL. It's even worse if you like watching that sort of thing. Even worse than that if you want to play a game based on this phenomena.

 » uh oh.

"I use the term LOL and am a dumbass" Whoa! Calm down 'LOL', while you're at it, find the definition of 'subjective' and go jump off a building.

 » It's not the idea that's bad...

The idea for the game isn't bad at all. It's the fact that they made a game based around such an easy-to-get-into activity that's bad. It's much easier to go out and parkour than to buy the game and play it, more fun too.

 » cool

 » mad skills

Props to the guys who can do this. they have impressive skills. I fall off my porch running to my car sometimes.
But making a game on it...is well...gay as hell.

 » wtfz?

its cool to see ppl do these things in real life and props if you can do it. Now im not some fat ass kid or anything but i dont see any potential for this game because theres not much you can do with it that hasnt been done if other game that have incorporated other traits including aspects of this sport/hobby/w/e teh ***** it is. Ninja gaiden for example, im not the biggest fan of it but it incorporates many of the pretty flips and wally do's that these guys do...but what sets it part, is that hes a ninja... not some guy doing it for *****s n giggles, which in my opinion is much more respectable of a title than this "freestyle running" and has the same elements.
