Why not say: "Admittedly, I think that the mentioned scenario will ..." ?!!
Referring to yourself in the 3rd person is such a sign of retardation that I am unable to read further. I refuse to read anything posted by anyone referring to themselves this way.
"This comment writer thinks it's so lame!"
Haha, good one.
*Sigh*
That is a style decision that occurs sometimes when writing for large newspapers and blogs and such. In large, multi-writer blogs/newspapers, it is not considered "good style" to refer to yourself in the first person, unless you are writing an editorial. All in all, this is an attempt to inject some personality into what would otherwise be a very formal news article.
Christ you're dumb, just go look at any newspaper or blog, do they ever refer to themselves in the first person? No, they don't. I don't even know much of anything about the reporter writing style, and even I know it's not in good taste to refer to yourself in the first person when writing a formal article.
It's his fault that Wikipedia sucks today. He and his elite editor cronies delete anything they don't like (even if it is allowed within the bounds of Wikipedia).
I think this is a great idea, in concept. The actual implementation may leave a great deal to be desired, especially if there isn't enough control. However, many people also thought that an editable encyclopedia was a stupid idea and would never work, and now Wikipedia is on par with Britannica as a place to look up material.
a lot of teachers at my school don't trust it. heck, my local newspaper printed a political cartoon mocking it. i like wikipedia a lot, i just wish that all the idiots around me would grow smart enough to realize what is real and what is fake in the articles. awesome idea they're doing now, tho.
