Did they even get around to hosting the music packs?
yes i feel fuzzy.. THE FORUMS ARE DOWN! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
And with that said, 1st post! hahahaha j/k
actually its pretty sad no more downloads, i like the game and always looked forward to new packs...
I could never understand what all the hype was about...this game SUCKS. I remember I played this for literally 5 secs and turned it off. Why does everyone like this bull***** so much!!? seriously one of the worst games I'v ever played..arite.. mayb not the worst..buht pretty bad.
haha number 3 is stupid. how can you judge anything after 5 secs? lol *****ing dumbass. hahaha
get music packs here http://psp-pureurban.com/
Damn i was going to buy but with this type of news sorry $ony i will spend it on the DS
XD
wipeout 64 is so much faster. What I dont get is how come when I downloaded a save state that said it had all tracks and medals I still only have the original 4 and the 34 for the other cup. Wasnt there liek 4 bonus ones?
I couldn't help but use the vernacular.
This is a great game that I haven't given it enough attention lately.
The reason for my post here is to say that I'd love for the developers to release a track editor and content creation patch (skins, models, etc.) as I'd love to go full throttle with it.
There's my buck and a half.
You'll never be able to download anything after October or they'll not put anything new up after October? I've had the game since I got my PSP six months ago but I just got my wireless network set up recently so I never thought about getting online with it till now.
I just saw this article and loaded up my ISO--I mean, my UMD and started downloading a pack. Does anyone know how to get those 'secret packs'?
8 is decent? When did that happen?
Wipeout Pure overclocked is the best racer in handheld history
I stumbled upon WipeOut Pure just last week (before I was quite sceptical) and was immediately hooked right in.
This game is awesome and I can hardly believe that it was one of the launch titles - together with Lumines I think these are one of the best for the system.
Therefore Sony is making a very bad move - because there are people out there who have not yet discovered WipeOut Pure and when they do, they will find out that there are no downloads!
Together with decision of supplying different packs for different regions (while PSP is not officially region locked) and very inconvenient download service - this is bad news.
Im sorry but this game blew. Boring as hell.
To echo #9's question:
Does this mean that there will be no new downloadable content added after this date (but previous content is still available), or that additional content cannot be downloaded at all?
Can someone please tell me how this is a good game? I played it for hours, initially loving it but then it got repitive and boring.
heh; "Downloads over blah bad blah" "Buy: Wipeout Pure" nice advertisement for the game ;/
Well I better backup my wipeout pure packs on cd-rom
Wipeout is probably rated better than 90% of the games you guys play, including that garbage homebrew. Not all games appeal to everyone...same thing goes for every other genre. GTA's garbage and so are games like God of War or Halo.
Halo is one of the best games! EVER!!!!!!!! but gta is garbage
#18 WTF are you INSANE.You know NOTHING about games.GTA is and endless game the has more things to do than any other game out there.Halo is just another 1st person shooter
I actually need European Classic Packs, because I can't download them from Wipeout Pure webpage (some unspecified error). and US version does not work with my EU game.
If anyone could give me a hand on this, then please contact me at :
maetsukker[aT]o2[d0T]pl
I hope that this request does not violate qj.net policy - after all we are talking about official add-ons - but if it does, then do remove it and refrain from banning me, okay?
Is anyone going to host all the downloads out for wipeout pure so we don't need to get them off the official site?
it's so kewl!
you can download the packs from " www.psp-hacks.com "
they have a section of just the packs.
this game starts off slow, on vector speed.
Once you get up to FLASH, RAPIER, and the insane PHANTOM mode..it gets interesting.
If you can race with someone of your skill level, its awesome.
I will slaughter any of you wipeout pure racers out there.
lol at #17 downing great games, but actually using the crappy name 50 cent lololol!
lol
...may be the best WipEout ever. The content this game features is just awesome.
All these people who say the game is boring and slow probably never played on a higher class than Vector or Venom, cause these classes are indeed not very fast but they give you a feeling for the tracks and ships. And that is what you need to handle the ships on Flash class and higher, otherwise you will the the side panel more often than you would like to.
If you can handle the game well, it's one of the fastest rides you've ever had.
With all the different modes and add-ons including ships, tracks, music and skins as well as new unlockable artworks this game is still, after more than 1 year released in Europe, one of the games standing on top of all PSP games.
And if you add the ability to play it online with Xlink Kai this games takes you one step further. It's just awesome to play against really skilled pilots, you simple can't compare it to the AI.
In terms of sequels; there WILL be a new WipEout. For PS3. And maybe also for PSP.
Give Studio Liverpool a few years and they will blow you away once more.
I'm sure.
im just pissed off at the no omega pack for usa
ok, maybe some games are hated my some people and loved by others. i happen to be into halo (on a mac cos of online multiplayer with 16 people) and im just buying wipeout pure, ive never heard of gods of war or whatever. ill say that some people would think halo and whatnot is rubbish and would all prefer a nice game of pong on the computer from 1990 that isnt in colour. its all about what you have to play on and then about your personal preferences. on a somewhat off topic note, i dont care (why does i dont care come as idk?) about this whole psp vs ds argument. in my opinion its just psp for functionality and ds for games that you can interact with. that will change soon with the mic and eyetoy but for now it works.
