QJ.NET stumbled upon YouTube the video clip below showcasing video game peripheral maker Team Xtender's product dubbed XCM 1080p VGA Box. This accessory is said to be compatible with the new PSP Slim & Lite, making an output resolution of 1080p possible on your computer and TV monitors.

We checked the manufacturer's official website and we believe that this product is the same as the original XCM 1080p VGA box that is being marketed for next-gen consoles PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. Aside from that, the video clip below shows that the product supports 480p output.

luckily my el cheapo hdtv 1080p (downscaled?)/pc monitor 1440x900 combo accepts component signal directly.

anyways i want one of those so i could use my old crt monitor 1920x1440. or if component input card for PC gets cheaper.

 » brilliant! recommended!

I just bought one of these off ebay for 50 quid.

mainly because I didn't want to spend 300 - 400 quid on an HD ready tv.

I ordered a psp cable ( the one with five jack plugs, not three!)

connected my monitor to the box and plugged in the monitor jackplug for sound and away we gooooooooooooo!

everything works great, iso's cso's, even homebrew runs on your monitor with full sound and full speed.

the only two things that are annoying are:

1. you need a usb power lead connected to the box, so you have to have a pc near by. but i've just ordered a usb power adaptor off amazon for 5 quid, this will mean I only need my monitor and this usb power adaptor, no need to be near a pc at all.

2. I still havn't got fullscreen on the monitor, but its miles bigger than using your psp! games seem more playable on the bigger screen and it's easier on my old eyes.

An excellent purchase if you have a nice flatscreen monitor lying around, or why not buy a nice 19 inch one for under 100 quid, 50 quid for this gadget and 15 quid for a psp five jackplug cable.

total 160 quid! 300 quid cheaper than an HD TV!!!

thanx folks!
