Yossi Starz has released a new version of the LUA Shell, Ys-Os version 1.8, the latest build over the initially released version 1.0 back in late March. Ys-Os is a shell that gives the developer a tool for GUI and multiprocessing management.

According to Yossi Starz, the latest build is a great improvement over the 1.0 version, and this time is provided with ample documentation for developers, runs smoother and is a better looking shell.

New Features of v1.8

  • Themes
  • Game Pong
  • Registry
  • Keyboard plug-in support
  • New form and buttons
  • Mouse animation cursors
  • New Start Menu bar and menus
  • Faster movement
  • ... and so much more, including of course, a lot of bug fixes

btw, this is alright. You move the cursor with the analog stick. It looks like xp classic.

» Try serch for the theme in the start menu.

there is only plug-in for keyboard so if there will be some one to help develop parts to this os it will be better.

So you want a shell without a cursor?

 » Cursor

"So you want a shell without a cursor?"

Yes, why you can just use the , or L&R buttons to navigate? Its so difficult and slow to move the cursor by using the analog stick.

by Anonymous Coward (Unregistered) - 2006-04-18
» It is possible to do so.

My shell is not just for you to look at.
You can write a background process that will give the ability to use the L&R buttons to navigate.

This is why i created this shell that gives you all the options to crate what ever you like to. This is what YS-OS about.

Pleases check the code tutorials to see. That what i am trying to say for a long time now.
