Although this title was already revealed a while back, Namco Bandai officially announced that MotoGP will be making its way to the PSP in early Fall of 2006. This game features intense single player action with the full 2005 roster. There are plenty of gameplay modes including GP championship, Season mode, or even the gear-grinding One on One challenge. Best of all, this game supports up to eight racers via Wireless Ad Hoc Mode, so you can host high-speed races with a big group of friends.

Access_Denied from the forums is hard at work today as we can see from this latest release; Unit Converter v0.4 for PSPs using the 1.0 or 1.5 firmware. As of now, his program can convert weight, length, temperature, volume, area and the newly added data (Kilobytes and Megabytes). Plenty of bugs have been fixed since his previous releases, and a few visual aspects have been tweaked. In the future we can hope to see even more improvements in the graphics department, support for more units, and possibly a new number input method. For now, be sure to download the release appropriate for your PSP. Download: [Unit Converter v0.4 for 1.0 PSPs] Download: [Unit Converter v0.4 for 1.5 PSPs] Discuss: [Forum Release Thread] |

Dead Head Fred

Dead Head Fred is a unique 3rd person action game designed exclusively for the PSP. Set in the 1940s, players take the role of private detective Fred Neuman, a man who was savagely murdered but was able to come back to life, except he no longer has his memory or his head. On his quest for vengeance, Fred will need to use severed heads of enemies on his way to battle through environments. This game features a dynamic camera system that will make control much easier, and there is also an innovative combat system that will let you slaughter enemies in a variety of ways. While this zombie slayer title is certainly unconventional to say the least, it's definitely a title to keep your eye on come Q1 2007.

Shinobi is back in another adventure, but this time he's making his way to the PSP. Thanks to Spike and Acquire, Shinobi is scheduled to be released in Japan this October. Based on the PS2 version, Shinobi's single player campaign will feature 30 playable characters, while there will also be a 4 player Versus multiplayer with 20 playable skins. The Mission Play Mode will even allow you to connect the PSP to the PS2 and import missions made through the game editor. These graphics look alright considering it's the first batch we've received, and the innovative game modes certainly look appealing.

Work Time Fun

Work Time Fun, which is more well known as WTF, is a mini-game based title that is currently set for release on September 26, 2006. A quirky set of minigames, WTF is about the hell that is life when you're working part-time jobs. Expanding on a PS1 title, the PSP game features a number of minigames that are designed to look boring and pointless (such as counting chicks, putting caps on pens, chopping logs, and fielding balls in a home run derby), but with pace and challenge that eventually builds to manic levels. The game also features a number of unlockable gadgets to play with.

The first PSP entry of the series and a new game in the franchise, Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception promises everything you'd expect of Namco's flight simulation series, including detailed jet models, an original storyline told through CG, options for fine tuning your machines, and plenty of real world jets. In Campaign Mode, you play as a pilot in the Gryphus Squadron of the Federal Republic of Aurelia. Defending the invaded country, your mission will take you to the battle-filled skies in order to take down the enemy and restore freedom and peace to their homeland. Campaign mode makes use of the Strategic AI System, where the contents of a mission change based on the strategies that you select. The game also has a multiplayer mode for up to four players. In addition to a last-man standing dog fight mode, you'll be able to split into teams for cooperative combat.
