It gets nearer and nearer...the release date of Tekken 5 DR for the PSP. We are all checking the official web for Tekken updates and excited to get our own copy. So while waiting, download this new gameplay video showing Devil Jin fighting Dragunov, Jin facing off with Asuka and Lily battling Ganryu. I give a lot of credit on whoever was playing in that video especially the Devil Jin player who can pull off an Electric God Fist so easily. They know the "standard" juggle for their character so if you watch this you may pick up a thing or two for your juggles. Even though we watched some DR movies before, who wouldn't want to watch more, right? Download: [Tekken 5 DR Gameplay Movie] |

Loco Roco

Previously reported yesterday, the demo for LocoRoco is now available for download. Before you immediately click on download keep in mind that to play this demo, you will need to have firmware 2.70 installed. For those of you paying a first time visit here, or unsure what this means, it means that currently you will not be able to play any homebrew (homemade programs) on your PSP.You need will need at least 8MB free space on your memory stick for the installation of the application, and as I mentioned previously PSP Firmware 2.70 (if you dare.) Installation: 1.) Add a folder in the base directory of your memory stick entitled "PSP". 2.) Under the "PSP" folder, create a folder named "GAME" 3.) Under the "GAME" folder, create a folder named "UCJS10041" 4.) Put the downloaded file into the "UCJS10041" folder. ![]() Download: [LocoRoco Demo] |

Sony Entertainment just announced that LocoRoco will be available in 2006 July but for those who can't wait there will be a downloadable trial version release on April 25th, alongside of Sony's latest firmware creation, 2.70. In LocoRoco, your mission in life is to sing, roll, and bounce your way through obstacles to the end of each level, while eating fruit to get fat. The demo can be played on either your PC, or PSP (the first downloadable PSP game demo!) with one restriction: you must have firmware 2.70 to play it. Another requirement would be that the firmware of your PSP should be 2.70. If you are still wondering what the heck is this game is about, check out our previous coverage [here]. |

Brave Story: New Traveler

Miyuki Manabe's upcoming anime movie Brave Story will travel coincide with a video game for the PSP and PS2 on July 8. The game is being developed by the studio that bought us the game Genji, Game Republic. Unlike the PS2 version which is an action/adventure, the PSP version arrives in an RPG form, and you will play as the protagonists of the movie, Wataru and his friends to achieve their goal. Like most of Japanese RPGs, the battle system is turned-based. There is a Brave Power meter that once it gets full, the character can unleash a special attack, similar to the limit break system of the Final Fantasy series. By collecting gems, your character can build a weapon or perform a combination attack with your other party members, which reminded me of the "tech" concept in Chrono Trigger. So by bringing these concepts together, maybe this will be the strong and unique selling point of this game. I can't wait to see the game and the movie with subtitles. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As you have read the announcement, the upcoming animated movie, Open Season, will have a tie-in video game created by Ubisoft which brought us great games such as Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and King Kong. You play the protagonists in the movie Boog, a grizzly bear, and Elliot, a deer, as you evade hunters by using "foresty" weapons like skunk bombs. There will also be a four-player minigame multiplayer mode which makes this a potential party game. Basing from the screenshots, the game looks very funny and at the same time interesting to play but I sure hope that the difficulty of this game isn't too easy like other kiddy-themed movie-tie-in platformers. |

You've probably read the announcement and seen the screenshots, then more screenshots with an interview as a sidedish. Heck, you've even possibly looked at the upcoming box art. Super Monkey Ball Adventure is one of the games where you can enjoy playing alone or with a bunch of people. Coming to the PSP and having a lot of new ablities like hovering, sticking to walls and even becoming invisible, Monkey Ball has 50 new puzzle levels and six new party games. Check out the gameplay trailer especially if you can't get enough of Monkey Ball.Download: [Super Monkey Ball Adventrure Gameplay Trailer] |

"Power Change!" as Falcon transforms and flies towards your PSP. See the classic characters Falcon, Ayame, Ryoma, WangTang and the others in action once again as they collect gems in order to change to their powerful form and win the chaotic battle. Now better enhanced than ever before, this Power Stone title has added new weapons and game tweaks. The camera modes are way cooler now with players being able to toggle between a close, wide and midrange view while in a middle of a fight. Play up to 3 of your friends just by using one copy using ad hoc wireless multiplayer device. This collection is definitely worth getting because Capcom surely made an effort in remaking it. One thing to look out for is the added four new characters, which can be seen in the second Power Stone to the first one, and included mini-games like an adventure mode and a Bomber Battle that can't be found on the Dreamcast copy. This is one badassed game for sure, but why take my word for it? Watch the videos and see for yourself. Download: [Gameplay Movie 1] [Gameplay Movie 2] |

Can't wait for Tekken 5: Dark Resolution? Then here are some more screenshots for you. I know that we have already tons of character and stage screenshots and some detailed information for you, but I know you just can't just get enough of Tekken 5 DR. For those who don't know, Tekken 5: Dark Resolution is still the basic Tekken 5, but with with 2 new characters: namely Dragunov the Russian Special Forces soldier, and Lili the sexy blonde rich girl. In this version, the PSP will be getting new and rehashed stages, while the old characters gain some tweaks and new moves (which reminds me of VF4:Evo). Finally showing off screens for some of the cinematics, it is almost identical to the arcade introduction and not only that the other screens showed the characters in their customized costumes including a hot Lili shot, an afro'd Ganryu and a blonde Bob. The wait is definitely there for tekken fans. Tekken DR for PSP will be released in July 6, 2006 in Japan, but don't panic, other regional releases are still scheduled for later this year.

For those PSP owners who can't wait for the FIFA 2006, we got some gameplay movies available for download just for your viewing pleasure. Hear the crowd roaring together with the (background music) playing as they cheer your team to be one of the 32 teams aiming to win the World Cup. With astounding (visuals), this game will surely hit the goal and now , these gameplay movies certainly arouses the urge to play this latest installment (you have to download it so that you'll understand what I feel). Moving on, the first two movies shows a game between USA vs. CZE scoring 1-0 respectively. At trailer 1, you'll see USA and the CZE battling at mid field until USA breaks that stalemate and runs toward the goal. Unfortunately, CZE kicked it out of bounds. Trailer 2 almost has the same description as trailer 1 but the difference is that it's USA turn to kick it out of bounds and it occurred in mid field but the highlight is that the game ends when CZE starts to put the ball in play and the displayed players walking back to their respective locker rooms and not only that it showed the highlights of the game too. Trailer 3 takes us at a game between GER and TA as it starts off with a tripping violation (only a yellow card) and given a free kick except the player wasn't able to capitalize and the other team got the ball. So it comes down again in the mid field as the two teams goes head to head in control over the ball until another tripping violation happened but it showed a cut-scene where 2 players are arguing and the ref starts talking to them as the video fades there. All in all, FIFA 2006 is very smooth in terms of both gameplay and graphical transitions for a handheld game. Even though the textures looks a bit low res, it still captures why we love this series. Just wait a little longer soccer fans for FIFA 2006 will be kicking through the market at April 24, 2006. Download: [Gameplay Trailer 1][Gameplay Trailer 2][Gameplay Trailer 3] |
