Video game developer 8ing again updated the official website for Bleach: Heat the Soul 4, revealing Nell Tu as a playable character, as well as a partner character in the upcoming Bleach video game. It was just a few days ago when we learned that popular characters Luppi and Wonderwice has been added as well. Anyway, who the heck is Nell Tu? For those of you not so familiar with the manga and anime series Bleach, Nell is actually a female Arrancar toddler who lives in the desert parts of Hueco Mundo. She's with her adoptive hollow brothers Dondo Chakker and Pesshe as well as their pet Bawabawa. One of her remarkable abilities is to literally swallow attacks from her enemies and fire it back to them with even stronger force. The remains of her hollow mask (the broken skull she wears on her head) enables her to do this. If you really want to know, she also has the ability to heal others using her saliva. Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 was released in Japan on May 24. Exact release dates for North America and other markets are still to be confirmed. |

Most of us in the US have probably not caught on to the whole Bleach craze in Japan, but everyone across the continents have heard about it at one point or another, which hints to just how popular the anime series is. In any case, Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 came to the Sony PlayStation Portable in Japan last May 24 and it's a nice-looking fighting game with a lot of eye-candy special effects and fierce Eastern spirit-brawling.
The Bleach HTS game line-up has been around for quite some time now and some controversy was noted in Japan as some fans complained that the people at SCEJ were milking the franchise money cow more than it should. Still, the games continue to sell because of the immense popularity of the title and the nice quality of the PSP game tie-ins. An exact release date for the US is still up in the air but there's long been talk of doing a full-English version of the game similar to what was done with some Naruto titles, but everything's still blurry at this point. We'll keep you posted for more developments as they happen. |

We've got a little bit of Bleach news for you guys today. According to the official Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 website, two new characters have been added to the roster.Transliterating Japanese names into English is a hit or miss kind of thing, so let's not argue about the "true and correct" spellings, eh? Anyway, both characters are members of Aizen Sousuke's Arrancar troops, and if you've been following the series then you might be familiar with them. The first addition is Luppi, the former 6th Espada who got a stomach vent from Grimmjow. He'll be a playable character in the game. Next up is the child-like Wonderwice. Unlike Luppi, this Arrancar will appear in the game as a character partner. You'll be able to use these guys to beat down your friends when Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 hits Japan on May 24. Click on the read link below to check out some of Luppi's moves. |
