0okm took at a look at the recently released Blitz: The League Overtime from Midway Games. Here's the report: "tried on DEVHOOK 0.51.0100 FW3.02, FW2.82 But NOT Work :P"As for those of us here at QJ, we haven't verified this yet because I still haven't gotten my hands on the game (it's an interesting game, though - even without an NFL licenese the game still goes into the "hardcore" behind-the-scenes mess that is pro football - no surprise that it's rated Mature for Use of Drugs, Strong language, Realistic Blood, Suggestive Themes, and Realistic Violence). Why doesn't this game work with DevHook? How can this be fixed? We leave those questions for the experts. 0okm throws this out to chew over: UMD_DATA.BIN ULUS-10200|6F8019FA4BC2D2E8|0001|G | PARAM.SFO =================================================================== |

For those of you who have no clue what Blitz: The League is all about, it's an all-American football game by Midway that was just released last month for the PSP. And the busy season is far from over as they're still getting ready for its 2007 release for the Wii. Now, what exactly can you find here in this game? Basically, the game focuses on a fictional league made up of 18 teams. Predictably, they're simply known as "The League." Making an appearance for the game is former NFL star Lawrence Taylor as the captain of the New York Nightmare, Quentin Sands. If you're familiar with the previous games in the Blitz series, you'll find this new version to be very similar, as it also depicts a "hyperviolent version" of gridiron football. Gridiron is a direct descendant of rugby football. Well, that should feed your factoid appetite for now. In the meantime, check out these screens. If you still don't have this game on your PSP, maybe you'll be enticed to get it. Or, maybe you'd want it on your Wii. |

We've all been basically going with "US Thanksgiving Week" for a release date of the Nintendo Wii,. However, Midway's list of E3 titles and approximate dates has Blitz: The League set for a date closer to the Canadian Thanksgiving (October for those who don't know). This might just be an oversight, but we can still hope! Anyway, here are the titles that Midway will be showing off next week.Blitz: The League (Xbox 360, Wii, PSP) - October 2006 This will be an entry in the popular Blitz series. The arcade-style football game will follow the story of a harsh, fictional football league. Why not the NFL you ask? Because EA bought the exclusive rights to that! Happy Feet (PlayStation 2, Gamecube, Wii, Game Boy Advance, DS, PC) - November 2006 Happy Feet will be based on the upcoming film of the same name by Warner Bros. You will play as Mumble, a penguin born into a nation of singing Emperor Penguins who sing to mate. Mumble is a horrible singer, but a wonderful tap dancer. You'll follow the storyline of the movie in this interactive adventure. The Ant Bully (PlayStation 2, Gamecube, Wii, Game Boy Advance, PC) - July 2006; Wii Version in November 2006 Another game based on an upcoming film by Warner Bros, The Ant Bully features a boy called Lucas who bullies ants. Ironically, he's turned into an act and must live among them. You will play as Lucas and follow the plot of the movie. |
