It's been quite a while since we last heard about Bomberman Land, Hudson Soft's title about the white-garbed superdeformed Bomberperson for the Nintendo Wii and the Sony PlayStation Portable. Now, we get a closer look at how the game looks and plays, with a trailer video that shows off pretty much everything the game has to offer, from the menus, the cutscenes, to the game themselves. Neat!Check out the video in the full article. |

Hudson Soft's Bomberman series is perhaps one of the most prolific video game series out there. Packing more than 40 titles in the series across multiple platforms, the latest title on the Sony PlayStation Portable, Bomberman Land, takes those well-loved, bomb blasting happy characters and puts them in a much more wholesome setting, away from their heavy explosives.
The game generally plays along the lines of Mario Party, where your selected character moves across a map filled with numerous mini-game points. Below we have two gameplay videos of two of the mini-games included in the game. The first one is a mini-game called "Free Throw" where bombermen can shoot some hoops and rack up some points for their character. The other mini-game involves a little more thinking and where a person's math skills can actually be useful while playing a game. All in all, the game places some familiar and well-loved characters into a set of mini-games away from the usual bomb-blasting mayhem they find themselves in. Bomberman Land is set to be released this January. In the meantime, enjoy the two videos we have on this fun game. Check out the other video we have right after the jump! |

What we have for you here are a couple of screenshots for Hudson Soft's Bomberman Land on the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo Wii.
The Wii version has been known to be in development for some time now
while the build for the Sony PSP has only been officially revealed at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
While staying true to the nature of earlier Bomberman video games, these new titles do offer something new. Bomberman Land Wii, for example, offers multiplayer sessions including a Battle Mode that can support up to four players in a single match. The PSP version, on the other hand, is more of a compilation of mini games centered around the Bomberman universe. Both titles will be offering a deep story mode, new locales, and various customization features. The return of Bomberman is certainly looking great and we can't wait to get our hands on both games. Hudson Soft just came up with a massive confirmation that should tickle the fancy of Bomberman
fans. Accordingly, new iterations of the franchise are currently in
development and will be released separately on platforms Nintendo DS,
Nintendo Wii, and Playstation Portable.
First up is the follow up to the successful DS game Bomberman Land Touch!. Those who've played the first game will be familiar with Land Touch! 2 as most of the game's designs were retained with a bit of improvements such as bigger areas, customization options, multiplayer, and around 40 mini games. The multiplayer feature will offer up to four players in both single and multi-card play. The Battle Mode, furthermore, can support up to eight players locally and four through Nintendo WiFi sessions. It should be released some time in January 2008. The new PSP game Bomberman Land, on the other hand, is a compilation of mini games centered of course in the Bomberman universe. There's a deep collection of mini games allowing players to choose from sports-like games and adventure type ones. Some of these will be compatible with multiplayer mode. Aside from that, Bomberman Land will also have a Story Mode where players are tasked to collect and rebuild the broken pieces of the Bomberman Land. Character customization will also be available. Lastly, the game will also have the classic Bomberman Battle game which sports 47 stages and five different Battle Modes. Finally, we have the Wii title Bomberman Land Wii. Just like the above mentioned titles, the Wii game will offer both single player game and multiplayer sessions. The Battle Mode can support up to four players in one go and new weapons and locales will be offered to gamers. Take note that these are just overviews of the titles as more will be announced by Hudson Soft in the future. While waiting for new details, just take a look at these fresh screens for each platform.
