They always said TV is bad for you. And they said that video games are bad for you as well. But two negatives make a positive, right? Hence, if you have a video game (bad) throwing you into a TV game show (bad), you're looking at Sony's Cash Guns Chaos (definitely good).
That's the concept of this game, after all. You're kidnapped into a psycho TV game show and you'd have to blast your way to win the jackpot. And what jackpot would that be? Well, you'd get to keep your life. You've got baddies like dragon kings with purple nipples (we're not kidding) and alien-looking shamans with white nipples (surrounded by black areolae - still not kidding). Nipples aside, don't get distracted. You'd actually be able to nuke it out with your pals via a PSP-PS3 multiplayer mode. To say the least, it's going to be mind-blowing, both figuratively and virtually. Who's the ultimate survivor, you ask? Jeff Probst never took "Outwit-Outplay-Outlast" too seriously. A while back, I was watching my friend play GTA: Liberty Stories on her handheld. She was low on funds but didn't give much care because she was gunning for weapons (pun intended). I'm not saying her logic is rather sound but there is no denying that it is actually more exciting. A thought then comes to mind: Guns are actually more fun than money.By some weird twist of coincidence, we learned today that Sony Online Entertainment feels the same way regarding money and guns. Accordingly, the company replaced the title Cash Money Chaos for, what do you know, Cash Guns Chaos. Aside from title change, the whole game remains the same - still a fast paced arcade shooter set in an alien-created 70s game show. The game should come out before the first quarter of 2007 ends. By then, the whole PSP-PS3 connectivity deal should be in order and handheld owners can enjoy wireless multiplayer competition with PS3 babies. |

This should have been a given all along. Cash Money Chaos will be released February of next year. The game features several multiplayer modes which include a "Versus" mode for up to eight players and a "Game Show" mode for 2-4 players. Then, once next-gen PS3 gets launched later this year, the same title will also be available as a downloadable game. See the connection? Come on, think...Yes! The game allows PSP versus PS3 multiplayer! Until the PSP version gets out though, the downloadable PS3 title remains a single-player only. While no specific pricing was announced for the two, Sony announced before that all downloadable games will not cost more than US$15. A good PSP title on the other hand, costs between US$30 to $40. Regardless, we're sure we would be treated soon to a fun and quick entertainment. Cash Money Chaos is a fast-paced arcade shooter set in a 70s game show created by aliens. It gives premium to gameplay and clean production more than flashy environments. |

Reality TV shows were never this whack (unless you count "A Simple Life" but that's of its own class, entirely). Cash Money Chaos from Sony Online Entertainment kidnaps you into a reality TV show that pits you into battlezone-ified game shows like "The Price is Right" and other 70s hits.
You choose one of the four characters forced to participate in ten seasons (levels), each having five episodes (stages) where you must fight for your life and collect heaps of cold hard cash for the win. (Do I hear Smash TV?) You'd have to blast your way through demented circus clowns, diabolically possessed bouncing balls, evil bearded women, and other bizarre baddies. There are different weapons to help you give those enemies something worse than a Sunday morning hang-over. The multiplayer mode will also bring the game to newer heights, whether you want a 2-4 player co-op to finish the story or pit it against each other in versus mode with up to eight people. So, is it a proverbial "deal" or "no deal"? Let the official trailer help you decide: |

Not only do the aliens that abducted Sonny, Cher, Ike and Tina have a strange penchant for 70's game shows (but that's just our opinion, who knows maybe it's a norm for extra terrestrials) they also want you dead. Lucky Jeff Haynes from IGN got to try the PSP shooter Cash Money Chaos, and lives to tell the tale. He reveals that as one of the four characters, you're put through a series of twisted versions of game shows like "The Price is Right" (Bob Barker, bless his soul) where you shoot your way to survival in more than 50 separate levels while trying to win cash and prizes. Not twisted enough? In one of the levels you'll have to fight a bearded lady who releases midgets on unicycles from beneath her dress to crush you. Don't worry, you have at least 12 weapons like shotguns, rocket launchers and blasters, as well as a number of power-ups, such as speed dashes and rate of fire increases, to give you a fighting chance. The final game will have four player co-op, and 8 player versus matches via ad hoc or infrastructure play. And what is a game show without an annoying host? Sfink Sfartindale will crack jokes at your expense that will surely make Groucho Marx of You Bet Your Life proud. Sony Online Entertainment has been developing this for some time now, and Cash Money Chaos looks like it won't disappoint fans of frenzied action games.
In CMC, you can play as one of four kidnapped humans who are forced to participate in a game show where you have to kill everything... waitaminute... this sounds like Smash TV! Chances are, it is, which means we can forget the real story and look at the big picture. Long story short: Everything goes BOOM = You get cash and get to kill more people next level for more Boom + Bucks! Since it's a game show, that means multiple "seasons" and in this case, you have to go through 10 "seasons" of five "episodes" each, and that's a lot of bang for your buck. The game also has weird enemies for each season, such as clowns and demonic bouncing balls in the clown season. Also, look to bosses to be almost as weird as a Japanese game show, from a giant exhibitionist bearded lady whose minions come out of her *AHEM* to a more normal football guy who throws explosives at you from his truck (if you could call that normal). Of course, you could focus instead on Multiplayer and have a team of four aiming to complete story mode or just beating each other senseless. While waiting its PSP debut in 2007, here are some vids and screens of Cash Money Chaos. Enjoy! Multiplayer modes will include a "Versus" mode for up to eight players, as well as a co-op "Game Show" mode for 2-4 players. Cash Money Chaos is going to be released in Q1 2007, retailing for only $29.99. The whole concept sounds like an obvious homage to the arcade classic Smash TV - hopefully, the game won't disappoint.
