Eidos Interactive and developer PlayFirst, Inc. didn't announce an official release date for their casual video game title Diner Dash: Sizzle and Serve, but a recent newsletter from Sony has reminded us that the the PSP version of the title has been available since May 30.
Various sources have mentioned before that the game was going to hit retail stores back in May 22 but as we've seen, it was delayed for a couple of days. Anyway, Sizzle and Serve is pretty much similar to the original game that appeared on the PC platform. It's a food serving simulation game and follows the story of stockbroker turned diner-owner Flo. Like we said in the past, there's a good reason the word "Dash" is included in the title. You have to be quick and accurate in attending to your customers' needs. Take note that each and every single customer has his/her own wants and desires so you better be sure to listen to them. Diner Dash: Sizzle and Serve is also available on the Nintendo DS. |

What we have here is a new gameplay video for the PlayStation Portable version of food service simulation video game Diner Dash: Sizzle and Serve (PSP and DS). Despite being one of the simplest games around, Diner Dash really is addictive.
Developed by PlayFirst, Inc., all a player has to do in Diner Dash is to tend the customers' requests and orders. Make character Flo successful in this endeavor and you will eventually turn her humble diner to a food empire. But, of course, there will be some problems along the way so you have to be patient. Diner Dash: Sizzle and Serve will be published by Eidos Interactive and should hit retail stores later this year. |

Diner Dash, needless to say, is for casual gamers out there. No mind-boggling puzzles to solve like in God of War and no loads of items to unlock like Grand Theft Auto titles. But this is not to say that the game isn't fun. After all, this food service simulation video game has captured numerous fans on the PC platform.
But for those who are not familiar with it, Diner Dash follows the daily life of Flo, the stock broker turned diner-owner. She must ensure that her diner is offering good service to be able to increase the business and eventually turn it into a food empire. It's not as easy as it sounds because she will be meeting a lot of customers with different quirks and idiosyncrasies. Diner Dash is being developed for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) and Nintendo DS by PlayFirst, Inc. and will be published by Eidos Interactive. The gameplay video below is for the PSP version and should give fans an idea how the game in general looks and feels like. |

More casual gaming appears to be making its way to the PSP and DS scene by way of PlayFirst, Inc.'s Diner Dash: Sizzle and Serve game. Originally released as a downloadable for PCs (and eventually ported to the mobile scene), Diner Dash takes players through the life of Flo, a former executive turned diner owner, as she goes through the challenges of running her very own business.
And while we have already provided screenshots of how the game will do in its portable console port, up ahead is a gameplay video (for the PSP) to show how Diner Dash will look like in motion - there's a good reason "Dash" is in this game's title. Both PSP and DS version of the game are expected to release this May 22 (according to IGN). For now, we bring you the "Food Serving" gameplay vid. |

Ever get the urge to ditch your day job? Be your own boss and run your own business? Well, stock broker Flo got that same idea as she was almost buried in paperwork.Flo leaves her desk job, discovers a shabby old diner, and rolls up her sleeves. Diner Dash from PlayFirst takes players into Flo's adventures to build a food service empire, one day at a time. As with any other restaurant, players will deal with several types of customers - from extremely patient but painfully slow old men to hurried but big tipping business women. PlayFirst teams up with Eidos to bring this popular casual game to the DS and the PSP. We'll have to wait for further announcements from them for the definite launch date but hopefully, it will be release later this year. While we wait, here's some screens to get our appetites going for Diner Dash. The rest of the screens await after the jump! |
