Just like Chaos and Cosmos fighting over control of the balance, Amazon and GameStop will be fighting over control of the Dissidia: Final Fantasy sales. If Cosmos called upon the Final Fantasy heroes to meet their Chaos nemeses, the two retailers will also have aces up their respective sleeves to turn the tide over to their side. We're going arcade in Dissidia: Final Fantasy, or at least we'll have the option to. Thanks to Square Enix, the US version of the highly-anticipated RPG-fighting title is getting an Arcade Mode, designed for that quick play.

Apart from the sheer fangasmic thrill of Dissidia: Final Fantasy coming to the West, Square Enix also provides not one, but two faces for the game's boxart. On one hand, we have the evil warlords of Chaos, then we have the good guys of Cosmos on the other. Take your pick.

Finally, we have the official announcement we've all been waiting for. No need for guesstimates, speculations or whatnot. This is the real thing. Square Enix has finally confirmed the North American launch date for Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

 Wow, GameStop sure is getting some really nice exclusives, huh? First, the Silver DualShock controller for the PS3. Then, the new Limited Edition Dissidia Final Fantasy PSP Entertainment Pack. What? Oh yes, have I mentioned yet? There will be one.

Everybody's got something to say about PSP piracy. Understandably enough, developers and publishers see the issue as a huge detriment. Dissidia: Final Fantasy director Takeshi Arakawa believes, however, that as bad as the piracy situation on the PSP may be, Dissidia is good enough to convince gamers to actually buy the game.

Back in January, Square Enix's very own Tetsuya Nomura revealed that plans for a sequel to Dissidia: Final Fantasy were actually already in place, but eventually fell through the cracks. However, to spark a bit of hope, he also mentioned that if fans demanded it enough, Dissidia II might really happen in the future. Back then, I suggested we do a petition for it, now though, it looks like Square Enix will be listening to fans in terms of actual software sales.

It was in London that Square Enix talents Yoshinori Kitase and Takeshi Arakawa answered questions from curious fans about the famed Final Fantasy series, while promoting - but not limiting the discussion to - Dissidia. IGN was fortunate enough to have been able to present some questions from the fans, and what they got were a very interesting outlook on the series.
