PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior - Image 1The weekend's here but there's still no 5.03GEN-B for those who want to put some homebrew in their PSP-3000s thanks to more unforeseen bugs. Don't you just hate when that happens? Too bad too, since there was a nice crop of homebrew apps and games that came out in the past seven days. No worries, though -- the team behind the GEN firmware is still hard at work on a release. Hit the jump for a glimpse at the rest of the week in homebrew.

Thanks to MaGiXieN for the heads up!

PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior - Image 1Due to some unforeseen bugs mucking up the works, custom firmware 5.50GEN-C at the start of the week turned out to be more underwhelming than we hoped. Good thing Team GENyUS was able to roll out a new revision a few days after, with another update launching in the days that followed. 5.50GEN-C may have set the week off on a sour note, but thanks to 5.50GEN-D things still turned out for the best. Read all about what else happened in the PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior.

CFW 5.50GEN-D - Image 1 It seems the fix for the 480x272 AVC problem didn't affect custom firmware 5.50GEN-D's release at all. The new custom firmware from GENyUS is now available for download.

Thanks to steffen, cmbeke, and Jsanity663 for the tips!

PSP Homebrew updates - Image 1The much-awaited 5.50GEN-C custom firmware had its share of problems upon launch. There were reports of freezes, although they seemed to be dependent on the PSP model. PSPGEN's MaGiXieN has moved to address these issues as well as announce that work is proceeding on CFW 5.50GEN-D.

Thanks to jfscorreia for the tip!
