It's gonna be one crazy, hectic schedule for Kratos this week as SCEA brings him to the Comic Con in San Diego this week. It's never easy being popular, so it sure is some God-sent luck for you to have this opportunity to spend some time with him. We've heard of the movie plans and of the novel, but this is something new. Sony and DC/ Wildstorm Comics have partnered together to create a six-issue mini-series based comic on the God of War franchise. Set to come out in October running up to the launch of God of War III, the mini-series will be delving into the dark past of Kratos. Details and artwork in the full article.

Kratos is all set to dominate not only the videogaming world but even the literary frontier as well. Matthew Stover, author of Star Wars: Shatterpoint, is said to be set to write the novel for God of War, and it's coming very soon.

Last month, there was an Amazon deal for a PSP Slim. Getting one from them allows you to get one free game - it was either Retribution or MLB. Now, they're trying to drive sales for the PSP-3000 by offering a similar deal. The mechanics are the same, the choices, a bit different. This time around, the deal (active until May 16) is only in effect if you buy a PSP-3000 Piano Black Core Pack. Buying one lets you choose a free game from a melting pot of three Greatest Hits: either Kratos, golf, or blobs.

Sony's line-up of games under the Greatest Hits label is getting stronger and stronger. Today, SCEA has announced via press wire that they've included 10 more titles to their budget catalog. Joining the army are games like God of War: Chains of Olympus, Patapon... and SpongeBob.

Oh wow, would you look at that. Finally something that's actually not coming from John Koller! Surprise, surprise! Ha! If this rumor proves to be true, it could be none other than Kratos himself making another handheld comeback care of Ready At Dawn.

Brett Ratner, who directed the last X-Men movie, confirmed a few months ago that he will be directing the movie adaptation of God of War. Recently though, he left the project (temporarily at least) to direct another film.

Good news, or bad news?

This is one tough list to get into, and so we tip our hats to the game titles that were hailed as one of Famitsu's Best PSP and PS3 Games for the past year of 2008. No surprise there, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G from Capcom took the sweet number 1 spot, with cherry on top for the Sony handheld, while Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 4 leads the pack for the PS3, with no less than a shining perfect score from the reviewers.

Remember that PSP-3000 bundle with Ratchet and Clank? It's still out there, and it seems that we're not the only ones who thought it's a so-so deal. So to try and get us to cough up, they're throwing in God of War: Chains of Olympus for free. Details after the jump.
