As promised, PSPGen together with GENyUS has released the much awaited Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-B. This is great news to all GEN users especially when news broke days ago that Sony has successfully implemented a security update that prevented Custom Firmware 5.00 M33 users from accessing the Playstation Store. Fortunately, Custom Firmware 5.50GEN users were safe.

Homebrew developer Yoshihiro, one of the great PSP contributors back in the day has created a utility that installs 5.50 debug firmware on PSP-1000 and run the application without any limitation. The 5.50 firmware testing tool will allow you to test games in file format during development and let  you set hidden options of your PSP that could possibly unlock the full potential of the system. Surprise, surprise, surprise! A new custom firmware has been released by homebrew coder U3-Robot. Custom Firmware 5.50 U3R is based on the recently released 5.50GEN by GENyUS with some additional features like a shutdown option for VSH menu and speed up option for recovery menu. And just recently, a bug fix update was released to fix some issues.

OK, so here it is guys. French site PSPGen together with their developer code named GENyUS has finally released the much awaited Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-A yesterday for PSP fat and slim users (with TA-088 v1 and v2) users. This new CFW supports all the functions of the official firmware 5.50 with Pops and ISO support. Today they have also released build 4 of CFW 5.50GEN-A to fix the PSN network bug issue. Read more.

Here's some great news for the PSP community courtesy of the website PSPGen: any time now they will release an update for Custom Firmware 5.02 GEN-A, which was released last January by Miriam. This new custom firmware is called Custom Firmware 5.03GEN-A for HEN. So what's the fuss about this new custom firmware? Read more to find out and watch the video preview.

It's been a while but now he's back! Homebrew coder Hellcat has released a new update for his Recovery Flasher. The new update has added detection of HEN mode, now supports CFW 5.00 M33-6, adds detection for PSP 3000 and PSP 2000 TA-088v3+ and more. Read more to see the list of changes.
