Lego Star Wars - Image 1The force is clearly with the SCi Entertainment Group, as the videogame publisher announced that revenues have risen 40% for the first six months of the fiscal year, to US$ 138 million. The majority of the revenue increase was due to product distribution according to  GamesIndustry.biz.

New products accounted for 50% of revenues to December 30, with new IP Just Cause the most successful release. SCi expects the game to hit the one million mark in terms of units sold by the end of the fiscal year and has confirmed that a sequel for Just Cause is currently in development.

One third of revenue for the first half came from the distribution of third-party titles, with sales of Lego Star Wars so far reaching a whopping 5.4 million units. The publisher also anticipates that Justice League Heroes, released in November, will also sell one million units by the end of the fiscal year.

Rly?

Okay, let's assume that you're not the best comic book fan, that you've managed to ignore the JLU animated series and that you've chosen to ignore over 50 years of pop-culture, just because Adam West and creeps you out a bit. So following that improbable assumption, you're likely to have no idea what Justice League Heroes on the PSP is about. Don't worry, we found two GameTrailer videos for you guys.

If in case you're normal and not a freak of nature (like the ones who'll fit the assumption we made above), enjoy the vids! It's got character profiles, interviews with the producers, and a small feature on the locales you'll go through in the game. If you want more interviews (this time with the voice actors, you can go here.)

You guys remember just the other day when we posted videos of Martian Manhunter and Diana strutting their stuff? We had a couple of commenters that spoke of extremes about the game:
  • that looks gay says: "this game looks gay. it really does look retarded."
  • Uzumaki-Kun explains: "That game looks like it has ALOT of potential.. music wasn't annoying, physics looked good, gameplay looked good..."
Mixed feelings about Justice League Heroes, eh? Well, maybe this will settle some squabbles among you guys. There are two vids. The first one is where the developers are talking about how they approached making the game and why they designed it so. The writer also talks about what makes the "Justice League" comic series a good video game. The second video features the voices behind the characters. The voice-actors all talk about how their characters. It's not the same as that of the cartoon series, but it seems as if they're just as good. We're impressed.

More fun than a barrel full of monkeys is a game that's a barrel full of super heroes. And what better way to play a game than to control a super hero that can morph into different things? We're talking about none other than Justice League Heroes' J'onn J'onzz, a.k.a. the Martian Manhunter.

The video below has him smashing baddies left, right, and center with lamp posts and motorcycles. You can also see him morph into his default martian figure and slash enemies with his claws. For those who have seen the "Justice League" cartoon series, you might be surprised with his arsenal of super powers. Some of these shown in the vid were actually never-before-seen attacks in the cartoons.

Now, if that's not enough for you, we've included a download link for Wonder Woman's gameplay trailer. She's walking around a factory and lassoing frozen robots in an Amazon's rage. There's even a short clip where she does some sort of screwdriver attack that would shame M. Bison of Street Fighter. Click the link below to watch Diana rough up the baddies.

Supergirl and Black Canary joins the Justice League as unlockable characters, no, heroes, in Justice League Heroes. You'll get to unlock the two PSP-exclusive super babes as you progress through the game, giving you another reason to give justice to the Justice League heroes by kicking ass on your handhelds.

supergirlSupergirl (aka the Last Lass of Krypton, hehe.) will have the following powers that you can use:

Flying Strike: Supergirl damages and crushes her enemies as she flies and zips through them.
Heat Vision: She can incinerate everything that falls in her line of vision via a searing beam of heat that erupts out of her eyes. You might wanna think twice before trying to catch this girl's eye.
Super Breath: No, not with super bad breath, but with a giant freezing breath, Supergirl can literally make guys stop in their tracks, all frozen and rigid. Of course she can do this to her girl enemies too.
Super Punch: A damaging blow that gets even stronger as Supergirl winds up.

black canaryBlack Canary also has quite strong powers you can use if you decide to take on her role in the game. These are the powers you can access when you play as this tough chick:

Sonic Scream: Black Canary can scream a cone of disrupting sonic energy, resulting to stunned and damaged foes.

Bird of Prey: A powerful series of martial arts moves.

Talon Strike: A deadly combination of kicks that causes major damage to enemies.

The Raptor: A flying, spinning kick that tornadoes through a pack of enemies, damaging those in her path.

Yes, it's time that the girls get the spotlight on this game, and to give you a taste before you get the game on November 10, here are two screenshots of the two super babes in action (and no guys, not THAT kind of action):

OK. So I just finished watching all 5 seasons of "Justice League" and "Justice League Unlimited," so I'm way too excited about Justice League Heroes for the PSP to write a decent article. Especially since we have two hero videos today. One features Batman gameplay. First, here's a Batman video (uh, if at first it isn't a Batman video, then it's probably an ad from GameTrailers where this embedded video is from, just wait a while and Mr. Bruce Wa- *kapow* er, we mean, Batman should show up).

Cool, huh? They even got the pose and batarangs. Except at the end of the video. It looks like he's smiling. That's just creepy. And what's he doing out in the daylight? Still, it seems that Eidos is putting effort into this game (like the voice acting and unlockable characters).

Woah! This just in... we have another video! Here we have a video of Flash, the Scarlet Speedster himself, the Fastest Man Alive (here at QJ, every day is Flash Appreciation Day).

Wow that was a nice vid! Did you see it? Neither did we. We guess he's just too fast to see, folks. So we'll end the article here. We'll post more trailers when we can. Meanwhile, kids, remember to turn off the faucet while you're washing your hands, and look both ways before crossing the street!

Aquaman

Aquaman is just one of many unlockable characters in Justice League Heroes, the action adventure that will hit current-gen consoles as well as PSP and DS this Fall. The game is voiced by an impressive cast, including Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Blade II, Justice League TV series) as Batman, Michael Jai White (Spawn, Spawn: The Animation) as Green Lantern; Crispin Freeman (Viewtiful Joe, Kingdom Hearts II) as Superman, and many more recognizable names.

In Justice League Heroes, players will be able to customize and master the super powers of many popular comic book heroes in a RPG-style fashion as they fight in destructible environments spanning many locations of the universe. The game will include cooperative modes, countless numbers of enemies and a compelling story. Looking at these screens, Justice League Heroes seems to be shaping up as another great comic book adaption.

See more screens after the jump!

JLH_screenshot_Hakwgirl

Welcome the newest addition to the Justice League Heroes team on the PSP console: Hawkgirl, as she joins the battle against Braniac and his evil minion.

Just a little trivia, the original Hawkgirl was Shiera Sanders (or Saunders) who is called the Golden Age Hawkgirl. She was the reincarnation of the Egyptian princess Chay-Ara, and partner of Carter Hall, the Golden Age Hawkman. Shiera died when she was merged with Carter and Katar Hol to form a new Hawkman version, a "hawk god" creature, during the events of Zero Hour. The current Hawkgirl is Kendra Saunders. After committing suicide, her grandaunt Shiera Hall, the Golden Age Hawkgirl, entered her body and continued being a heroine using the original Hakwgirl's equipment — a belt made of nth metal.

Now she has been confirmed as a new member of the Justice League and they will be gracing your PSP screens by October 17 this year for the game Justice League Heroes. The unlockable Hawkgirl, alongside with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna, Green Arrow and Aquaman, will enable players to fly and utilize her lethal hand-to-hand combat skills. Her diverse range of super powers are great for single player mode or to assist other characters in a co-op play.

JL Heroes! Where's Hawkgirl?

Justice League Heroes
is set for a fall release this year across multiple platforms (PSP and DS, among others). A lot of people are anticipating the game, and it seems as if Eidos is really packing it with some "super" stuff like voice acting and unlockable characters. The official website of the game recently posted a trailer ago that shows us more than the last time.

Anyways, we get to see the game in action now. The graphics don't seem to match that of the Justice League animated series, but now they're fully rendered in 3D. One difference is, also, that instead of your usual line-up with Hawkgirl, Zatanna the magician is filling her in. The rest of the team is still there: Superman, Batman, Diana, Flash, J'onn J'onzz, and GL.

Thanks to IGN for the video!
