Midway Games announced NBA Ballers: Rebound for PSP is scheduled for release on May 2, 2006. NBA Ballers: Rebound is the only one–on–one basketball game designed to run for the PSP. The game allows players to live vicariously through an unknown Baller and the long, bloody, sweaty, teary rags–to–riches path he must take to make it as an NBA superstar. Along the way, gamers must flaunt the right skills online or go one-on-one with over 60 NBA superstars and 24 NBA legends. Previously, the game's release was set this month. |

Throw it down and live it up in the PlayStation Portable version of Midway's b-ball game. Play as one of today's most popular basketball players in some of the most intense one-on-one hoops competitions available. Take a friend to the hoop over a wireless multiplayer connection, and follow the action off the court and into the luxurious surroundings of your favorite NBA player's homes. |

Back in December, we posted about NBA Ballers: Rebound, the upcoming streetball game for the PSP where you create your own “baller” and work him up the ranks to become a sports star by taking on the NBA’s elite. Today, Midway released a few more details about the PSP version of NBA Ballers, and said that it would be released this April. There are over a hundred different ways you can customize your aspiring basketballer, then develop his skills against the best in the world. Then each time you defeat an NBA star you'll be rewarded with Ballers Credits which can be used to enhance your athlete's image with new clothes, cars and mansions. [Via, GamesRadar] |

December 13, 2005 - Following up on 2004's bling-heavy NBA Ballers, Midway today revealed NBA Ballers: Phenom, currently in development for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The company is also taking the hoops franchise to the PSP with NBA Ballers: Rebound -- a portable version of the original Ballers title. With NBA Ballers: Phenom, Midway is introducing "an entirely new open world" and richer player customization. Set in Los Angeles and offering a detailed story mode, Phenom will have you working both on and off the court to establish your reputation and hoops skills -- with the goal of making it into the NBA. The new Ballers offers 2-on-2 action, in addition to the 1-on-1 matches of the original. Style's still important, of course: you'll eventually have a chance to start your own clothing line, record label, and movie deal. Midway expects to ship NBA Ballers: Phenom this spring. No date has been set yet for NBA Ballers: Rebound on the PSP. |
