Some things just refuse to die, says the team behind PSP Galaxy magazine. Actually, good things are kinda hard to kill. If you're a PSP Galaxy fan, take heart. The magazine is alive, kicking and has just released their 15th issue. In this latest issue of PSP Galaxy magazine, you can read up on the following:

PSP Galaxy Issue No.15 is also the first issue for the magazine's new graphic designer Evilution. We've seen his work and he's pretty good. Why would any one kill such a great magazine in the first place, anyway?

Open Season Survival Guide

Let's accept the fact that in the end we're all at the mercy of Mother Nature and that she'll pwn us anytime she wants. This can include letting bears who can turn a pink brassiere and a moose's antlers into a lethal slingshot, armed with either a smelly skunk or a grouchy squirrel with lots of acorns to spare, run lose in the wild.

So, we thought it best that you learn to recognize these situations and know how to get out of them. And who better to learn from than the master of wildlife mischief himself - Boog the bear from Open Season! Just follow this 'Open Season Guide to Surviving the Wilderness for Bears' lessons, and up your chances on not being the butt of jokes of the animal kingdom.

Open Season

Boog the bear and Elliot the mule-deer are out now, earlier on the gaming platforms than on the big screen! Ubisoft just released Open Season today, September 18, and is (and will be) available for the PSP, PS2, NDS, Xbox 360, Xbox, PC, GBA GameCube, and Wii (coming soon). While it's out in a whole bunch of platforms, it's still gonna be the same game that will take you into the woods for a pre-movie delight!

If you haven't gotten it yet, and are still deciding, here's a simple outline of what we've already revealed before:
  • wild royrides down the rapids!
  • an arsenal of anti-hunter weapons (skunk bombs, acorn-firing squirells, etc)!
  • hunter chases!
  • learn Wild Skills!
  • outrageous woodland pranks!

Time to go, bro!

We at QJ like to make our articles more interesting than usual. So when we saw a list of games and accessories coming out this week, we thought of a way to make it more entertaining than a plain old list. Here we go!

Twelve Samurai Warriors  journey to Castlevania on a Dragon Quest, and there, they find a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. After losing 10 of their comrades to various traps, only two finally reach the end of the lair. They open the large door and was surprised to see that there were no guards nor traps. All they saw is a chair in front of a burning fireplace. A soft voice tells them to come in and take some health potions.

They first check it for poison and find out that it's ok, however they foolishly tosses it aside and commands the old man to stand up and come with them to be tried by the King of the land. The man stands and introduces himself as The Godfather. He has been waiting for years for anyone to go through the dungeon alive. Anyone who comes through the dungeon must fight him to the death.

They began fighting wildly. The old man wasn't such a slouch! He moved swiftly and kicked harshly. In the end , The Godfather falls to the might of the two samurais. Before he dies, he turns on the Xbox Live Camera and proclaims to all his henchmen that it's Open Season for the two Samurais. Just then the ceiling blows open and a thousand ninjas appear from the smoke. Our tired and wounded heroes are surrounded!

Will our heroes survive? Find out next time, same QJ Time, same QJ Channel!

Open Season

Slapstick comedy peppered with some savage charms at its finest. Open Season is based on Sony Pictures Animation’s first feature-length CG animated film that'll be coming out on September 29.

Ubisoft is thrilled to be collaborating with the movie production team of Open Season to bring the humorous adventures of Boog and Elliot to the interactive world,” said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft.

We follow the story of a domesticated grizzly names Boog, that had been sweet talked by a fast-talking mule dear called Elliot into leaving the comforts of his home only to find himself in the middle of the woods surrounded my hunters, three days before the open season. Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing.

You'll get to see the works in this video. An fuzzy grizzly will do anything from hurling rabbits, skunk bombs and acorn-firing squirrels so as not to end up as a rug in someone's cabin.

Move over Yogi. There's a new bear in town.

If you're a tree-hugger who wishes poor little Bambi would get a spine, turn into "Bambo" and start kicking some game-hunter butt - rejoice! It's only three and a half months until the release of Ubisoft's Open Season (just in time  to make going back to school a little less grim).

As you may have guessed, OS is a game that takes the whole macho big-game hunter scenario and turns it on its head, as predator becomes prey and the animals start fighting back. A pet grizzly (!) named Boog is lured away from his comfy home by a double-talking mule deer named Elliot. Before long, Boog is hopelessly lost, forced to survive like his wild relatives. As if this is not bad enough, its hunting season. To keep his hide from becoming a rug, Boog must rally all the animals in the forest against the armed human invaders.

The game, scheduled to ship in September about the same time the movie hits theatres, allows the gamer to play as Boog or Elliot, take wild virtual joyrides shooting rapids in a floating outhouse (sure to be a hit with the middle-school set), and access an arsenal  of deadly weapons - including skunk bombs and acorn-firing squirrels. One can play alone, or with up to three other gamers.

An E-10 rating is expected.

As you have read the announcement, the upcoming animated movie, Open Season, will have a tie-in video game created by Ubisoft which brought us great games such as Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and King Kong. You play the protagonists in the movie Boog, a grizzly bear, and Elliot, a deer, as you evade hunters by using "foresty" weapons like skunk bombs. There will also be a four-player minigame multiplayer mode which makes this a potential party game. Basing from the screenshots, the game looks very funny and at the same time interesting to play but I sure hope that the difficulty of this game isn't too easy like other kiddy-themed movie-tie-in platformers.
