PSP - Image 1Here's a piece of good news to the PSP homebrew community. Early last month, as some of you may recall, FreePlay has released a video showing us that he has successfully hacked Sony's latest handheld iteration that got everyone buzzing with excitement. Well, now he's back to give us a status update on his project. According to his YouTube channel post, he is now making progress on the exploit with his NID resolver working flawlessly, and if he can get the eLoader source to work, we may have a PSP Go eLoader soon that will allow us to run our favorite homebrews on the PSP Go.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Ah. First off let me just say that this Weekend Warrior is a particularly short one. But hey, we still heard some good PSP news over the week. Konami's finally announced that they're working on English demos for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and for those that can read Japanese there's a God Eater demo on the way. Best news so far this week for me, though, is BlazBlue PSP. Hit the jump for this week's PSP Weekend Warrior edition.

PSP Go - Image 1November 1 marked the launch date of Sony's PSP Go in Japan. How well did the new, UMD-less handheld fare in the land of the rising sun? Not too well, as Enterbrain reports.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Yes, the PSP Go is still making headlines. The problem is, the main one we heard this week wasn't exactly flattering. The Go has been getting a mostly lukewarm reception since its launch earlier this month, and the trend continues in Australia. There's a silver lining, though: overall PSP sales have reportedly gone up since the Go hit retail. Sony most probably have software sales to thank for that. Oh, and maybe the Go's making people buy PSP-3000s. Just speculating. For the facts, hit the jump and check out this week's PSP Weekend Warrior.

PS3 Slim - Image 1In stark contrast to the PSP Go's dismal first-week sales in Australia, the PS3 has been performing admirably in the region. Since the PS3 Slim's September 3 launch, the console has been outselling both the Xbox 360 and Wii.

Lumines - Image 1It's not too far-fetched an idea that Q-Games will be bringing the famed Lumines games - both I and II - on the PSP Go. Their post on Twitter is enough give-away to lead to that conclusion, after all.

PSP Go - Image 1 Sony has called the Australian release of the PSP Go a "soft launch" amid low sales numbers. In its first week, the PSP Go managed to move only around 1,000 units in the region.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Hideo Kojima is one busy man, and it looks like he will be one for the years to come. He has two different games (three if you count Lords of Shadow) under his supervision right now, but he already has his eye on what he'll be doing after MGS Rising and his personal pet project, MGS Peace Walker. He also has a lot of downright weird ideas sometimes. Case in point: singing and screaming weapons in Peace Walker. Say what?

PSP Go - Image 1Remember that gigantic PSP billboard that Sony put up high and proud over SoHo in New York? Well, if you're expecting a PSP Go version of that for its much-anticipated launch, sorry, but you're gonna have to be disappointed.

PSPGo - Image 1The guys from Mega64 recently purchased a brand spanking new PSP Go straight from GameStop to give it a go but they seem to be confused about its features. We're not going to give any more details, just watch the video after the jump.
