According to the Japanese website, EBTen, Sega will be releasing Phantasy Star Portable with a budget price next month. Said to be included in this package would be a Video UMD, which carries a three-episode story feature covering the PSU story, Phantasy Star Universe Chronicle. More intriguing than this, however, is that the website says that the package will include something for Phantasy Star Portable 2.

Rejoice, Phantasy Star fans! The PSP entry in the popular series, Phantasy Star Portable, has just had its launch date moved up to the first week of March.

In case you weren't aware, there's a new Multiplayer Mode mission made available of Phantasy Star Portable, this we picked up from Sega's download site. The name of the mode: Nazokaimei Mission, aka the Mystery Unfolded Mission. Literal, huh?

Sega's made sure that Santa will not be skipping your homes this year as they bring you a new downloadable mission for Phantasy Star Portable. The "Dengeki Nines Colosseum" is a collaborations with the Dengeki PlayStation magazine, and will be available on - you guessed it - Christmas day! More details on the new mission after the jump.

Today, gamers in Japan are getting the 8th DLC installment of Phantasy Star Portable. That's more installments than the months the game's been out, so that's pretty awesome support from Sega. Now the question is, will the English version get as much support when it's released next year?

Man. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G just keeps on raking all those prizes and milestones in Japan, doesn't it? And what's the latest award of MHP 2nd G? It just won the Double Platinum prize in SCEJ's PlayStation Awards 2008 ceremonies where developers and publishers were given huge pats on the backs for their excellent PSP, PS3, and/or PS2 games. The event was held just earlier in Japan, with MGS4 and Crisis Core, among others, also bringing home the bacon.

Sweet! I didn't expect some confirmation so soon, but following yesterday's announcement of a North American release, Sega's now also confirmed that Phantasy Star Portable will be heading to Europe come next year!
