We're just letting you guys know that Konami's Pocket Racers for the PSP just launched last November 17, and should be available for purchase around this time at your local retail stores. For those still not in on what the title's about, it's a racing game that puts you behind the wheels of one of 16 different cars, as you race to earn back your soul stolen by a dark sorcerer, all from the comforts of your household - literally. The game's plot may be weird - sounds like something out of Wacky Races, Twisted Metal, and Mario Kart mishmashed into one - but we're looking forward to the game's diverse racing courses, which take you through some of the more familiar places you've seen in a house, only you're the size of a matchbox toy. Size matters, have fun. |

If you chance upon dark sorcery, what would you do? We? We are going to crash a party then turn all guests into tiny cars and make them race for their souls.
Actually, that's not an original one as it is the very plot of Konami's Pocket Racer. Set to be available this spring, Pocket Racer is a lot more fun than an ordinary racing game. Aside from the 16 colorful vehicles (or should we say souls?) to choose from, the player is made to race on unconventional tracks such as a messy bedroom, kitchen and conveyor belt in a factory. To make it more fun and to prepare you to an ultimate duel with the Nemesis, power ups like nitro boost and homing missiles are available. Single and multiplayer modes are options, including time trial and soul races. Here's the gameplay video and we send our thanks to Mikey for the heads up! |

Rev up your engines, burn rubber tires, and redefine road rage!!!Yep, you heard me, this is THE official announcement people, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has announced that Pocket Racers, their new racing game for the PSP, will be available this fall. Vent out your anger for moronic drivers you encounter on the road with Pocket Racers, where you get to drive like crazy for your soul (whereas in the real world you only get to drive for your life, haha). The game's basic plot: an evil nemesis crashes a party, turns all the guests into tiny cars and makes them all race for their souls... all these he did by using dark sorcery (we can almost hear you say 'oooooh'). The game features a dozen different race tracks with obstacles, drops, umps, twists and turns, you name it. The whole race takes place in 15 indoor environments (all within the house) where you zip through kitchen counters, chair legs, hallways, etc. Players can choose from 16 colorful vehicles which range from sports cars to four-wheel drive off-roaders. The game will also feature Power Ups (from nitro boosts to homing missiles), Time trials, soul races, and a head-to-head race with the nemesis himself. And thanks to PSP's wireless option, you have the option of playing with up to four other gamers via the multiplayer mode or go head-to-head with one of your friends in the versus mode. Can't wait? yeah, neither can we!! |
