I'm not sure if you guys heard about it yet, but Amazon's got a deal for the PSP right now. There's a huge chance that it's over by the time you read this and hop on over there quick enough, you could buy a Piano Black PSP Slim (Core Pack), and choose one free game: either Resistance: Retribution or MLB '09.

So whatever happened during the dev chat scheduled a few days ago for Resistance: Retribution? Well, most of it had generic questions from the fans - talk of Infected Mode and whether it's actually part of story canon (watch the ending!), plans for DLC (none!), PSP-to-PS3 connectivity, and other matters, etc., etc. - but some interesting parts of the chat had the devs commenting on the issue of people pirating their games, and another one on the cheaters roaming around online matches.

So, I'm sure some of you guys are already busy with that new game of yours. Yeap. And here's something to justify yesterday's Day 1 purchase of Resistance: Retribution - it's so that you can start practicing your way towards an oh-so-sweet prize. Because as of today, SCEA and Global Gaming has already launched the Road to Retribution Tournament.

As if in consolation for Australia getting Resistance: Retribution later than pretty much everybody else, the Australian branch of EB Games has readied a Retribution-branded PSP bundle for the region. Details in the full article.

As part of the Resistance: Retribution launch, Retribution developers Bend Studio will be holding a live chat tomorrow on the US PlayStation blog. Creative director John Garvin and technical director Chris Reese will be on hand to answer your questions, gripes and whatnot. Details after the jump.

Heads up, folks. Resistance: Retribution invades retail next week! There's been some confusion over whether the PSP Phat will be able to utilize the PSP Plus in Resistance: Retribution, a feature that will allow the handheld to use the DualShock 3. Bringing light to the situation is Sony's Jeff Rubenstein, who confirmed that the Phat will support PSP Plus. Yay for people who chose to stick with the classic heavy.

Excited about Resistance: Retribution, especially after all those sweet features Sony promised? Yeah, me too! If you're into multiplayer modes, however, this news might dampen that excitement a little bit. Tiny. Okay, a bit bigger, maybe. The unfortunate news: Retribution's sync-ing capability with the Sixaxis does not extend to multiplayer. Why, oh why? Find out after the jump.

Man, this is gonna be sick! Can't wait to get Resistance: Retribution eh? Hell yeah. Though I'm not sure if everyone will be able to get to pounce on Infected mode (not all PSP users have PS3s, y'know...), one feature I'm sure will clock a lot of hours would be multiplayer!
