Just a couple more weeks now, and we're hitting against some resistance once more. Resistance, that is. One of the biggest offerings for the handheld spinoff is its infected mode. Played the demo yet? It sure feels so cool when you realize that you're playing Resistance on the PSP. That's exactly what the guys at Sony Bend were aiming for. What is the Infected Mode in Resistance: Retribution really? Is it really just an added bonus feature for those who have both Retribution and Resistance 2, or is it actually a US$ 60 cheat code? Sony has made many promises before on raising PSP and PS3 interconnectivity. Unfortunately, that probably doesn't include more games - aside from Resistance: Retribution - being able to use the PSP via the DualShock 3. A Sony rep said they aren't even considering the possibilities yet.

We've heard all about the Infected Mode in Resistance: Retribution. Now it's time to see how it actually looks. This demo comparison video shows the Standard gameplay vis-a-vis the Infected gameplay. The dialogue does alter in the Infected Mode, with James Grayson seeming a little bit more kickass.

Last time we covered this news, we told you that pre-ordering Resistance: Retribution at Amazon will get you a demo for the game, but back then, no info was given as to when you'll be getting it. Now, we know that GameStop and GameCrazy are in on it too, and we have a margin as to when you're gonna get the demo. Details in the full article.

Remember the March 13 Resistance: Retribution European release date we reported on a while back? Yeah, well that's apparently still not a confirmed date. Neither is the March 17 release posted on the US PlayStation blog. And it gets worse. SOCOM: Confrontation, a game that's been out in the US since October, is also still missing a Euro release date.
