Coldbird signature - Spectral Souls fan! S.S.U.C.S.

Coldbird has updated his Spectral Souls U.C.S. Revision 2 with an Improved Module Installer for SE-firmware. The Improved Module Installer does exactly what its name implies: it allows quick and easy installing and removing of U.C.S.

For those not familiar with this, "U.C.S." stands for Unit Control System. This is a cheat device for Spectral Souls. According to the readme:

It allows you to control all Units in the Battlefield... HP / AP / Status / Movability / Jumpability Alteration of All Units (Allies and Enemies)... Bring down a Boss with one Blow... Push up your HP to a unbeatable Value... Or simply steal Enemies AP Point... Making it impossible for them to act... Or what about Jumping / Running all over the Battlefield?! :D

As for this updated Spectral Souls U.C.S. R2 Repack & Improved Module Installer for SE-FW, here's what Coldbird had to say about it:
  • Due to me not liking the Way how our beloved OC-Module Author handles Installing and Uninstalling Stuff... I decided to do my own based on his Concept. So - Whats new? I coded a nice Installer for U.C.S. that allows quick Installation and Removal of U.C.S. on SE-FW...
  • Unlike cpasjustes' Version, this one won't wipe your pspbtcnf Files and therefore kill of your previous custom Module-Setup... Also - cpasjustes Installer - also left the modules on the flash... even thought he killed them off in pspbtcnf...
  • What mine does different... It reads the pspbtcnf Files and adds / removes entries in it... instead of totally wiping stuff... keeping your custom module setup... so it only handles its own business...
  • I tested it many times on my own flash - worked just fine...
  • About the Sourcecode of the Installer...
    • I wont release it to the public... Wait - Stop shouting... lol~ I'm a bit ashamed - because the code looks like gibberish really... And I don't want it to be seen in the general public... :P
    • Devs who need the Sourcecode for a proper Installing Module... can ask me - and I will forward them a copy... as long as they promise to keep it away from the public... at least until I clean it up a bit more... ^^'

S.S.U.C.S

Last September, we reported about Coldbird's Shin Sangokumusou 2nd Evolution cheating device. Basically, with Coldbird's creation, you'll be able to enjoy infinite health, infinite time, musou refill, Power Jump, and a dubious-sounding Assrocket feature. Playing fair and square is good, but the gaming world could also be a dog-eat-dog world, much like real life. So be nice to those who use 'em, last we checked, it's still a free world.

Before the serious talk gets the best of this article, we mentioned Coldbird because now he has another creation that he shared to us through our forums. The cheat device is called the Spectral Souls Unit Control System or S.S.U.C.S for short. From the name itself, you know that it will come in handy when you play Spectral Souls, but it is basically a Tactical Battle Control Systems that allows control and Alteration of Units on the Battlefield. Of course that would be convenient for you when you're battling it out for the Royal Demon Kingdom, the Imperial Army, or the Rebel Army.

This is the app's second release and this version fixed a bug in current AP/HP stuff and added proper SE Firmware Support which the dev claimed works in both No-UMD/UMD Mode. This also works on DevHook, plus proper instructions on how to run it on SE are included in the file.

Spectral Souls!

The only reason why this game would, in their heart of hearts, freak anyone out is because the place where it all happens is similarly named to Michael Jackson's estate: Neverland. You can be sure, however, that the horror's of Neverland's Seven Years War is nothing compared to what goes in Neverland, the ranch.

For those who don't remember our previous coverage, Spectral Souls: Resurrection of the Ethereal Empires is a strategy RPG that lets you play from the perspectives of each of the three warring armies of the continent of Neverland. It's sounds a bit like the Atelier Iris series with its item synthesis system and all, but it's definitely meant to be a lot less lighthearted. Besides... if Nippon Ichi thought to send a game from Idea Factory here, then it must have some pretty interesting gameplay if we take Nippon Ichi's reputation into account.

In any case, gametrailers just came up with a trailer for the game. Why not have a look-see, since Nippon Ichi is sending this out to American shores on September 30. Enjoy!

Spectral Souls 2

Resurrection is what Spectral Souls II is all about. After a long hiatus, this long awaited sequel, with the subtitle "Resurrection of the Ethereal Empires," will finally be available to loyal followers on September 30.

And as the release date comes near, more and more noise are heard coming from NIS America camp, developers of this fantasy meets adventure game. Matter of factly, the cover art that they will be using in its PSP version package was just recently unveiled. And just what can we do before the release?

We suggest stare at the picture, sprinkle a little imagination and be taken away to fantasy land. Just don't forget to go back before September 30, ok? Enjoy!

It's been awhile since QJ featured Spectral Souls. This doesn't mean though, that the game has been thrown in the trash bin. In fact, development on it has been in progress and NIS America says that Spectral Souls II will be heading to PSP on September 30. Since August is just dawning and September 30 is still a far away date, NIS America gives us a fill of Spectral Souls teasers to ease our longing for the game.

Just in is the logo that will be gracing the PSP version  of Spectral Souls II. The promotional movie (which you can watch by clicking on the download below) was used during E3, but in case you missed it, NIS America is letting you have a peek at the beauty coming to your PSPs. Running  a minute and a half, the movie tells the story leading to fantasy world Neverland's  Seven Years War - abrupt massacres and destruction.

If the movie just heightened your curiosity and you're aching for more info on the game, the developer promises to send in more info when they become available -- they did say they'll be sharing the package cover once it's ready...I just hope they'll also throw in a couple of in-game trailers when the cover art is available. But for now, we have to content ourselves with the logo and the movie. Hey, beggars can't be choosers. Enjoy!
