Even though Race Driver 3 for the PSP has been released back in June, there's still nothing better than a good racing game when you need that adrenaline and speed fix from time to time, especially if you can play the said game on a portable while on a long trip or while stuck in a boring affair. Besides, for those who have still been trying to decide whether this game is worth getting or not, here's some new screenshots which would hopefully get you to pick up a copy from your local game store. |

IGN managed to get their hands on a preview build of the upcoming Race Driver 2006 headed for the PSP. In case you aren't familiar with the series, games like TOCA Race Driver and Pro Race Driver are famed for their vast selection of cars, accurate simulation physics, and their real time damage modelling systems that actually impact your car's performance.Lucky for us, it seems as if Codemasters isn't holding out at all on the handheld version. The damage system is still in place, so if you aren't careful you could lose a tire or wreck your transmission. While the PSP has already seen two Need for Speed games, a Midnight Club, and several other arcade racers, it's nice to see that a racing simulator is on the way. One of the best features will be the online play, which supports ad hoc and infrastructure modes for up to 12 players! Game sharing is also available, so even if you're friend doesn't own the game you can still play against him. This series has been very successful on home consoles and PCs, and the PSP version is shaping up to be just as good. Be sure to head on over to IGN for the full preview. |

Codemasters TOCA Race Driver 2006 is an updated and expanded re-release of TOCA Race Driver 2 for the PSP which includes extra tracks and vehicles, as well as the career mode previously only seen in the PS2 version of the game. The screens below might not look visually stunning, but consider the fact that there are a whopping 21 cars on track at any one time and the game supports up to 12 players of the PSP's wireless LAN!
