Get those engines running, guys. Atari has now opened the gates and have pulled the gun's trigger to set off Test Drive Unlimited onto the PS2, PSP and PC tracks. In case you need some reminding as to what exactly is in store for you in this video game, there's the M.O.O.R or the Massively Open Online Racing. Here, players are also given more freedom as it is up to you where you want your wheels to take you, and what races to show off your skills to. Finally, Test Drive Unlimited has skidded to a halt on North American retail video games stores and is priced at US$ 39.95 (SRP). The ESRB gives it two separate ratings: E10+ for the PSP and PS2, and T for Teen for Windows. |

With just a few days left before Atari's Test Drive Unlimited (TDU) game for the PSP zips into retail, we will be providing players with a second gameplay trailer just to get everybody's "drive" going. This video should provide more tidbits as to how players can expect to interact with the game's expected roster of 125 exotic wheels, as well as provide more glimpses of the video game's 1000 miles of open roads on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Also of note is the TDU's multiplayer mode via the PSP's WiFi connection, with this video showcasing how different the driving experience can be as compared to its default single-player mode. Test Drive Unlimited (PSP) is currently set for a March 21 release in North America, and will sell for US$ 39.99. The racing game Test Drive Unlimited by Atari and Melbourne House is set to be released this coming March. This racer will have more than 125 licensed cars and motorcycles. The terrain has been modelled after the Hawaiian island of Oahu which has about 1000 miles of roads and highways, more than enough room for you to take a spin in you vehicle of choice. The Xbox 360 version of this game received high marks upon its release, garnering a popularity rating of 82.3% according to Game Rankings. If this game delivers everything it promises, then it will equal to its next-gen brother. More news as we get it. |

Test Drive Unlimited is one of the most highly anticipated games for the PSP. With the release of the Xbox 360 version, the people at Atari have a lot to live up to. However, judging from these screens, it looks like they're on the right track. The detail on the cars and backgrounds are great for a PSP game. If the gameplay is as good as the screens, then we could be looking at a must-have PSP game this year. We can only wait and see if the game lives up to the hype it has been generating among gamers everywhere. So for now, let's content ourselves with these TDU pics for the PSP. |

Atari's Test Drive Unlimited for the PSP wouldn't hit retail stores before February 20. Now, one of our readers, PSPumpgun a.k.a Suicide Man 2oo7, left a tip in our mailbox and said that he is playing TDU on his handheld now. And to prove his claim, he even gave us a link to a YouTube video that he, himself, uploaded.
While PSPPumpgun didn't tell us where he got this, it is an "open secret" among PSP users that this might be/ could be/ is no other than an ISO. We tried the boxed game on Xbox 360 and we were in awe with the great expanse of the island of Oahu. After hearing the devs mention that all 1,000 miles were placed in the handheld version and no loading screen will be seen whatsoever, we thought we really had to see it for ourselves. We want this game badly. We're a sucker for racers, as you all know by now. Oh, well. As long as our readers are happy, we are happy for them as well. Thanks, Suicide Man 2oo7 for the heads up! |

The upcoming PSP version of Test Drive Unlimited (PC, Xbox360) is arguably one of the most awaited PSP games set for release next month. And to further psych up all the PSP users out there, Melbourne House has posted part II of their dev diary to give us an inside look at what's in store for us when TDU hits the shelves on February 20. And this time, let's shift all gears to focus on the Hardcore Mode, which, according to Melbourne House's Ahmed Boukhelifa, will be available at the launch of the PC version. It will also be up for grabs later on as an Xbox Live download which will be called "Patch 3." The patch is still in QA testing at Atari, but is expected to be released real soon. So anyway, here's what you'll need to know about the Hardcore Mode:
