E3 week is already upon us and news just keeps on flowing in. And this just in! Sony will be re-releasing the cash-cows for the PSP again. Or should we say, a collection of 'Platinum greatest hits' in Europe and Australia from 1st June 2006.

Commenting on the launch of Platinum, SCEE’s Vice President of Product Marketing, Simon Rutter said, “The Platinum collections have been hugely successful. Experienced gamers know that they are getting the pick of the crop with a Platinum title, and are doing so at a great price, while the Platinum collection on PSP provides the perfect entry route for those new to handheld gaming – an unbeatable combination!”

The "pack" includes some really good games like Everybody's Golf, WRC, and F1 Grand Prix. There's also Medievil Resurrection, Ridge Racer, Pursuit Force, plus a few really huge sellers like Virtua Tennis, WWE Smackdown vs Raw, Burnout Legends and Need For Speed Underground Rivals. And not to forget King Kong and Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire

Quoting Mike Hayes (COO, Sega Europe), "We are absolutely delighted that the success of Virtua Tennis World Tour has made it eligible to join the PSP Platinum collection. As with previous Platinum collections, this brand represents a huge ‘seal of quality’ for the consumer. It is a great accolade and a ringing endorsement of the popularity of Virtua Tennis World Tour."

In that list are a few gems, which I myself love a lot. Let's just hope that their re-release is as good as the original one. And stay tuned for the latest news from E3.

The WRC series has been one of the popular games on PlayStation 2. You test yourself against time and various driving conditions programmed in the game. Now this amazing game that had precioiusly been available only on PS2 is making its way to the PlayStation Portable. The WRC series will soon debut on the PSP, giving players different options on how to join in rally racing.

WRCIn rally racing, you battle against time and the different driving conditions of your chosen environment. You have the option of joining a quick rally wherein you drive in a random event in any of the game's 16 cosmopolitan locales; you can choose the time trial where you run individual stages to record your best time; you can also do the single rally wherein you compete in any rally of your choice; there's the multiplayer game for up to eight players; and then there's the championship mode where you race to win events and collect points to be the top WRC driver.

But don't think that the PSP version of the WRC series will be as easy as that in PS2. There are four levels in the race. The novice and the professional levels are the first two, then there are two higher levels after these. The game has definitely come a long way since even the damage you would except in any good race game is here (like a cracked windshield after you ram it). The graphics of the game is also impressive, as well as the model cars (which include Subaru, Peugeot, Mitsubishi, and Skoda, among others).

The WRC series is scheduled for release this April in America.
