The Japanese release of Dissidia: Final Fantasy not only means another Final Fantasy game for diehard fans to play, it also means an update for Sony's Ad-Hoc Party service. With Ad-Hoc Part v1.04, we're way past the 30 titles we posted about a while back. There are new games like Patapon 2 and LocoRoco 2 as well as older titles like Me & My Katamari. When announced, the Ad hoc Party feature was only confirmed to be supported by one title:  Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. Soon after, Phantasy Star Portable was also announced to also support it. And hey - just yesterday, Dissidia: Final Fantasy too! The list of games using the Ad hoc Party feature is a trickling stream, but now, we have quite a torrent: not just one additional game is added to the list - and not two, three, or four either - we've got a hefty sum of over 30 additional titles! Folks in Japan were promised a beta version of the Ad-Hoc Party service to go live come October 30, however, things up at Sony aren't running as smooth as they expected. Meanwhile, you can hit the full article to see a video presentation of how the network service runs.

Developer Nataku92 visited the QJ.NET Forums earlier to announce the release of CSPSPServer v1.1 and CSPSP v1.56. The latest build of the CSPSP homebrew game now carries grenades along with several other bug fixes. Details are available in the full article.

Homebrew coder darksaboteur sent QJ.NET an email, informing us that a new build for the program PCMonitor has just been rolled out. This brings the project up to Alpha version 3.
