Do you guys still say play WTF? It's one of those games that you pick up and try for a couple of times. It is fun at first but then, you'll get bored with it eventually and just toss it some place only God knows where. After a couple of weeks or so, you'll find it by accident and be amazed all over again.Well, after being in the market for a couple of months now, we believe we've reached that part of the cycle where we find ourselves thinking and talking about WTF: Work Time Fun once more. We've actually come across "something" that we thought you'll find interesting as well. We call it "something" because we can't quite place it. It could be a mod, but then again, it could be a pure waste of time and effort. There's this guy who claims that he's not good with WTF's mini game Wood Chopping. So what we he did was attached a webcam to the PSP and a little dynamo to press the "X" button. Then he added two laptop computers to the setup - one was for checking if your character is supposed to chop or not. If it's supposed to, the computer sends the data to the other laptop and it signals the relay board to press the button. Sounds weird? Yeah, we thought so too. Anyway, here's a video clip to capture the weirdness. We wonder what the guys over at D3PA will say about this one... |

Lots of people are going to be screaming "WTF" in the next couple of months, and this time around it wouldn't be as an expletive. Working in the background of the PSP scene, D3Publishers of America (D3PA) is set to revolutionize the mini-games scene with their new title. Based on a Japanese game, WTF: Work Time Fun is already out in the American market. It contains over 40 mini-games that will simply make you scream/mutter/sigh/curse "WTF". The game is designed to be a "pick-up-and-play" title that you can play either solo or through wireless ad hoc. The game centers on players trying to perform various jobs and earn money from it. The money could then be spent on various items and tools available in the game. There's even going to be a mode called "Outsourcing" where friends could share just one person's UMD and all money earnings of the group will be fed into the account of the person who owns the UMD. It's going to be a crazy ride of simple, intuitive, and sometimes mind-bending games. Some of which are:

WTF?!Yeah, we know those three letters fused together illicit such a powerful message brought by angst, shock or well...boredom. You heard it right. Boredom. Apparently out of boredom, a couple of Japanese developers made a game that is labelled as such. WTF stands for "Work Time Fun," a couple of mini-games that border on the mundane and bizarre. Examples? Let's see, some mini-games include "put the cap on the pen," chopping logs, a couple of well-endowed girls jingling bells, a cliff race, and bouncer bash (where you hit people with people). We're guessing WTF was made out of boredom to cure boredom. If not, those Japanese devs are just plain crazy. And we're happy that they are, as now we have something equally fun PSP game to look forward to on September 26 (If you can't wait for it, you may want to check out a couple of WTF video trailers we have for you. Just click the links to download). Work Time Fun, which is more well known as WTF, is a mini-game based title that is currently set for release on September 26, 2006. A quirky set of minigames, WTF is about the hell that is life when you're working part-time jobs. Expanding on a PS1 title, the PSP game features a number of minigames that are designed to look boring and pointless (such as counting chicks, putting caps on pens, chopping logs, and fielding balls in a home run derby), but with pace and challenge that eventually builds to manic levels. The game also features a number of unlockable gadgets to play with.
