Delivered as promised! It should be remembered that Playlogic Entertainment mentioned yesterday that it will treat PlayStation Portable owners to a free demo of its space shooter Xyanide Resurrection. While the video game has been available for some time now, the demo will still be useful for those who haven't tried it yet. The story premise of Resurrection is basically similar to that of the first Xyanide title that appeared on the original Xbox. Players take on the role of executioner Drake and try to capture destroyer of planets and civilizations Aguira. You will board a ship and will go up against enemy fighter ships created by Aguira herself using element Xyanide and her mind. The game will have around 15 challenging levels set in four different worlds. Enemies, furthermore, are divided into 20 types and the number of bosses are around 15. The demo's for Xyanide Resurrection's level one of the full game. To be able to run the demo, your PSP unit should be running on FW 3.5. Download: Xyanide Resurrection demo |

Publisher Playlogic Entertainment today informs us that a playable demo of video game Xyanide Resurrection will be available this Friday over at the official PlayStation site for UK. The demo will include the first level of the said title. To give you a head start, the address where you can get the file is "http://uk.playstation.com/psp/games/".
This title actually first appeared on the original Xbox under the name Xyanide. It is basically a space shooter where players control main character Drake against enemy space ships summoned by Aguira. Playlogic VP Rogier W. Smit had this to say regarding the demo, Having this demo available for players all over the world is a fantastic service Sony is offering PSP owners. Downloading this level will allow fans and newcomers to try out the next generation of our Xyanide franchise. Xyanide Resurrection will be released some time this year and will also be available on the PlayStation 2 platform. Some of its features worth mentioning are multiple branching storyline, upgradeable player vessel, 10 levels with four different difficulty settings, and a good number of bosses. |

Zephyr in the sky at night, I wonder, do my tears of morning sink beneath the sun? Madonna's not the only one who can go faster than the speeding ray of light. Drake can do that too. Although his "capture the escaped witch Aguira" mission won't kick off until the game's release on Q1 2007, Playlogic Entertainment's Xyanide Resurrection is coming along quite nicely. Look at all those bright colors! This game looks like a visual feast. Big things, small things, all coming at you in bizarre speeds from every direction. Flashing lights, streaking lights, neon lights, glowing lights; who cares about getting a seizure? That's what I call "mind-blowing." Here's the 411 on Xyanide Resurrection:

Woohoo! Finally, a trailer that spares us from the awfully cheesy and pretentiously grandiose music! Hahaha. Fellas, we have just gotten our hands on the trailer for the upcoming shoot-'em-up-in-space (OR space shooter, doh) PSP game, Xyanide Resurrection. The game that made its debut on Xbox (under the title Xyanide) will be resurrected on your handhelds, and this'll be Playlogic's first title for the PSP as well. Take on the role of Drake, a government executioner from planet Mardar, who's faced with the mission to capture Aguira, the evil witch who pulled off a Houdini. But of course it won't be that easy to get your hands on the escapist Aguira 'coz she possesses the mythical power of Xyanide and uses it to create obstacles and creatures to keep Drake away from her. With four difficulty settings, mid- and end-boss battles, and upgradeable player vessel, you'll get to shoot your way through ten game levels set in highly detailed backgrounds and visual effects that'll fill your PSP screens with explosions. If you wanna know more about the game, you can check out the screens here, but it'll be even better if you watch the trailer so you'll see Xyanide Resurrection in action. The shoot 'em up game is expected to come out Q1 2007. Download: [Xyanide Resurrection trailer] |

We've posted some info about Playlogic Entertainment's Xyanide Resurrection some time ago, and since then people have been asking if the gameplay is good, or if the game looks good. Since the game won't be out until first quarter next year, we can't really answer the gameplay part, but with these screenshots we managed to find, you guys will probably have a good enough idea on how this PSP version of the 2D/3D shoot-'em-up will look graphics-wise. Given these screens, we think that it's safe to say that the game will make the PSP's screen worth it. Oooohh pretty lights... More screens after the jump! |

Playlogic Entertainment has announced its initial title for the PSP: Xyanide Resurrection. Xyanide Resurrection is based on Playlogic's classic 2D/3D shoot-'em-up title Xyanide which was originally released for the Xbox, where gamers must capture Aguira, the evil witch from planet Mardar. As Drake, a government executioner, players have to bring her back to the Judge, but Aguira is no misbehaving damsel in distress. She packs enuff spells to transform worlds, create monsters and throw obstacles to keep Drake busy. The PSP version of the game will use a new technology never seen before on the PSP, or any other handheld, so expect high quality interactive video backdrops, seamless integration with real-time game sceneries and visually fantastic graphics and effects on your PSP. Xyanide Resurrection is set to released first quarter of 2007. |
