NCAA football 2007

A bug where the ball had been taken back to the spot of initial contact when you run past the defense in NCAA football 07 for the PSP has been angering gamers recently. As a result, worldwide publisher Electronic Arts are replacing the bugged NCAA UMDs for free. The new replacements are guaranteed to be bug-free and you can get your hands on one by sending the defective UMD to:

EA Customer Warranty
Attn: NCAA PSP
209 Redwood Shores Parkway
Redwood City, CA 94065

You also have to include your name, Address, E-mail address and Phone number somewhere in the package. It does take around 10 business days to receive the replacement disk, but in compensation EA are including coupons worth $15 off your next purchase at the EA Store as well as free shipping on that order for anyone affected. Obviously, EA's beta testing was a bit flawed for the game to get to the mass-production phase before this bug was noticed. We guess it could have been worse, at least the disk contained NCAA and not an adult movie.

NCAA Football 07 promises to be the best in the series yet offering a greater emphasis on momentum and turning the tide of the game with big plays, defensive stops and special teams. Not to be left out, the graphics have been cranked up to replicate everything from stadiums to mascots, marching bands and of course players with the greatest of detail. In a non-suprising move, Electronic Arts announced Friday that Reggie Bush will be on the cover of NCAA Football 07.

Bush, the former University of Southern California All-American running back and 2005 Heisman Memorial Trophy Award winner, was excited about it.

"This has been an amazing year for me and being chosen for the cover of NCAA Football 07 is a great way to end my college career," Bush said. "I've grown up playing EA SPORTS games and never imagined I would see myself on the cover of one."

Bush, destined to be one of the top picks in the NFL Draft this weekend, was one of the college football's most decorated football players this past season. He won the Player of the Year, Best Collegiate Running Back, 2005 Associated Press Player of the Year Award and The Sporting News Player of the Year Award. Bush started all 13 games for USC, and led the nation with 222.3 all-purpose yards per game and an average of 8.7 yards per rush. Most importantly, Bush led the Trojans to their third straight NCAA national championship game.

EA Sports said the NCAA Football 07 will feature an all-new momentum system where "big plays, defensive stops, and special teams keep you in constant struggle for momentum and can change the game at any time. Unprecedented graphics produce living stadiums that capture every moment in complete detail, including the authentic stadiums, mascots, and marching bands, making NCAA Football 07 the most realistic college football gaming experience ever."

NCAA Football 07 will be available for the first time on the Xbox 360 and the PSP system this year, and also on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in July.

NCAA Football 07The NCAA Football 07 for the PSP will surely be compared to Madden 07 for the PSP. But gamers will surely like playing this on their handhelds more than the other title. Why? Read on.

The single-player mode has a 10-season dynasty mode which will even include recruiting and setting up depth charts. The game also has the Turn the Tide momentum meter. This meter will be built up by making big plays. Once the meter is filled, the team you're playing in will get a stat boost, enabling them to make blocked kicks, huge hits and fake punts to fool opponents. This momentum meter is featured in both current and next-gen NCAA 07.

There will also be a mascot game included which is exclusive for the PSP version of the title. This game mode will allow anyone from the Michigan State Spartan to the Stanford Tree lineup to fight it out while in their silly costumes.

As stated in a previous article about NCAA 07, you will be able to challenge and play with other online players via WiFi.

Another interesting feature of the game is the stat tracking and the real life scores that will at the bottom of the screen. These are provided by ESPN radio and ESPN Ticker. Specific achievements that need to be accomplished will be assigned to the player. This feature is exclusive to the PSP version. Earning all the goals in the game will enable you to unlock college football highlights from ESPN.

But like any other great game, NCAA Football 07 lacks something: it doesn't have the Campus Legend Mode that's present in other versions of the game.

We're here to bring you more PSP goodness with NCAA Football 07 screenshots. These, much like the Xbox 360 screens, are quite nice. This is one of the first PSP games that doesn't actually look like a PSP game. The game is a much improved version of the hated Madden series on the PSP. The game offers WiFi mode for online play along with complete stat tracking. If you're a football fan and have been waiting for a decent football game to hit the handheld, then your time is near. More info will show up as it's released, we're sure to see more about this game during/after E3.
