its 2.XX compatible because dgen 1.30 is just too buggy and crashes. Also hopefully comix zone and dynamite headdy works now :) good job on the release syn z
neither of these two versions seem to work on my 2.0 ..... brilliant :(
Is it 2.6 compatible ...? ?
....then again version 1.3 dont work on my 2.0 either :(
@3 - think this ones only for 1.00 and 1.5
It does not appear to be compatible few other dgen emulators are compatible with 2.00+ I dont think this one will be different.
I still remain with 1.2o, which is very stable on 2.6 (eloader)
Maybe a future version will be compatible with 2.xx again...
I hope ...
Great release as usual. If only some games could be played with frameskip 0...
Luckily 1.30 still works with good speeds, after you change the key settings to something else than the left shoulder button so you won't get locked out of the menu... Hopefully Syn-z will take some of his time to convert his awesome emulator to a 2.XX version, since being on 2.6 already is a cry for suicide...
To bad that Xenon2 still doens't work. I had hope that it would work with a new version. Also Lotus Turbo Challenge isn't working.
As for the rest... Lots of great games work. I have lots of fun with this Emu!!
Thanks and keep it up!!
i tried this version 1 with my 2.5 and bock doesn't work.
got the suspious hardpath press a key.
press a key and the psp shuts down.
well i will just have to stick with 1.3 for now.
this runs fine for me.
i don't know why we got to 1.3 version then all other after this don't seem to work. anyone know ????
We're just not going to get a decent Genesis emulator that supports 2.0+ evidently. Does this emulator really need kernel mode support, when none of the others do?
I love this emu but I have 2.6 fw so I still use 1.30 pleaseee be good boys and do one that works in our 2.XX psp's. We will be very greatful to you!!! bye bye.
ppl using Dgen 1.3 on firmware 2.0 + what version of eloader are u using? - i get the suspisious hardware path error thingy on every version of this emu i try when using boc :(
seriously if you want homebrew its 1.5 or nothing..skeet skeet
I'd really love it if this guy would make these compatible for 2.XX.
R. Kelly is a *****.
i rather have that *coughbetterGenesisemulatorcough* than this garbage :|
What a bunch of panzies.....STFU and go find a 1.5 you panzies. And this one seems better, but I'm still having the 6-button issues with MOST games,it just doesn't work.
If you've been following Syn-z's work here at QJ, you'll know that DGEN is one of the best buggy emulators around.
thanks for the update! hopefully sonic blast works now
i aint tryed it yet and dont no if i will, just want ask if any of u can remember any good roms for it, i got shiz like, ALTERED BEAST, GOLDEN AXE, STREETS OR RAGE, SONIC, any1 got any more 4 me ?? yo i got i hetic rom for u lot, try out SHADOW DANCER, gone
hey ... try making an emu for the 2.xxgenertaion num nutz.... thank u
Any chance this thing will run 32x or sega CD? I wouldn't think so but I hope a emu will be released that is capable. I would love to play Snatcher, Knuckles Chasotix, and Star Wars(32x) again.
so does any no if this shiz play 32x or sega cd roms?
It only plays Genesis roms, not 32x or Sega CD at the moment.
kega fusion can run sega cd emulation of cd iso on the pc.
so i wouldn't think its beyond the realms of possibility for these to run on the psp in the future.
i used it for shining force cd.
14. » bah, bah and bah!!
ppl using Dgen 1.3 on firmware 2.0 + what version of eloader are u using? - i get the suspisious hardware path error thingy on every version of this emu i try when using boc :(
i am running bock with emenu on 2.5 firmware.
make sure when transferring files to the psp they are actually fully transferred. i found that when moving the files the led will flash to begin with and you get the scrolling bar on the screen.
but what i also found was that after it stops the first time it then starts a small flash after a few seconds (depending on the file size) and only after this second set of flashing have the files been completely transferred.
try reinstalling bock this way then dgen1.3 this may or may not help.
also make sure you have a smd file in the directory as som e homebrews don't work when there are no game files.
just thought i would mention it.
good luck
yet another " i own a 1.5!, so i'm better than you..ahaha"
when will these fools shutup, the whole success of homebrew is to try and get it working on all firmware versions and aclompish cracking up to 2.6 firmware efficiently, in my opinion....
just because a earleir firmware works fully doesn't mean homebrew is going to stop there! we have to keep trying and accept the fact that not every homebrew works on every version...etc,etc.
what a well put statment. ty. and yes, i have 2.6, and i can use all homebrew. assuming the author took the time to make it work for all people. hence why i dont play genesis on my lil ol' psp. i use alot of emulators and h/b games and some wifi stuff. and 2.6 is fine. i dont see why most people update to 2.6 allready. if anyone is wondering how to get the update for 2.6 now that 7 is out. for whatever reason, whether noob or not, go to http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/167
this is really a great program and I have to say something too ever one with a 2.6 if your a true game you find away to get a v1.5 and heres a hint E + bay=??? I'm sure a couple of you can put the puzzle together... and just so you know thats where I got mine and it wasnt cheap but It was still a good deal! soooooooooooo Good luck to 2.6 users.
oh yea ummm did I mention I love this program it great... got to love my 1.5
I can't get this to work on my 1.50 PSP.
No, I'm not a noob.
It just won't load up.
A few months ago I upgraded to 2.00 to test the web browser and eloader. I downgraded and loaded all my 1.50 homebrew again. everything was fine.
This version of Dgen is the first time I have had any problems with homebrew.
Any ideas what may be causing this?
Are any other emus on my stick causing a conflict.
other emus on my stick....
