'e' has released the first new version of his e[mulator] for the PSP, bringing it up to version 0.81 today. e[mulator] for PSP is an emulator which combines e’s own eSwan emulator with HuE. eSwan is an emulator for WonderSwan on the PSP, and HuE is an emulator for PC-Engine on the PSP. Here's the changelog that has been kindly translated by QJ's very own Jeff Chen:

- Thumbnail auto-generation fixed

WonderSwan

- Horizontal scrolling problem fixed
- HBLANK and VBLANK processing fixed

Famicon

 » eeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr........??

this promises a lot, lets hope it can live up to it

as i know the standalone hue is a very large file size and quite buggy

it would be nice if someone would update pcep 0.7 to run super graphix games tho

any way keep up the good work me ode!

Wow! It now emulates 4 platforms:

- PC Engine Super Graphics CDROM2
- WonderSwan
- NES/Famicon (modified and used the source code of NesterJ for PSP)
- GameBoy (modified and used the source code of RIN)

If he fully incorporated RIN that means GameBoy and GameBoy Color.

 » E[mulator]...

As much as I've been looking forwards to updates from "e", the emulator still seems a bit unpolished. Settings are not saved after exit, going into certain menus leads to crashes, and there's not even support for 4:3 aspect ratio GPU stretching? I can browse around for PCE ISOs after loading a Syscard3 ROM, but apparently .toc, .iso as well as .cue do not show up when I'm browsing, so I don't see how we are meant to use the newly implemented PC Engine Super Graphics CD-ROM2 support.

» Anyone notice some problems with the emu here?

When I use it, it boots up like normal, and then I get to the GUI screen. If I try to mess with NES, GB, or SMS/GG, it will freeze up and I have to restart my psp.

I'm hoping these things get fixed, as it would be nice to have an all-in-one emulator for handhelds/8-16 bit systems.

E's previous version is more stable for wonderswan and PCE though, and I'm hoping his great emulator will be better with the next release, because this version is annoying.

I've spent some more time with this emu and it is absolutely fantastic. clean menu, works like a charm. I wished all emulators i.e. uo_SNES me, PSPVBA and other worked this flawlessly....

Great work N.

I've seen various comments about this emu, but no comment on whether the CD support includes CD audio support. Anyone tried it?

 » Just use PSPBrew

For those having problems installing this, just PSPBrew it. Here's a complete guide on how to use PSPBrew:
