Ó

e[mulator]e's e[mulator] takes another step forward in its development with the release of v0.82f. It still packs the same NES, Game Boy, WonderSwan, GameGear/Master System, NEOGEO Pocket, and Lynx goodness as its predecessors, but includes the following updates (that was the updates section, right?) so poorly translated into Engrish by the weblator:

  • the number of scan lines from 159 was modified in 160 and compatibility improved. It is thought that speed has decreased with this correction.
  • drawing acceleration processing it is in the midst of mounting.
  • volume of sound was adjusted the beefsteak toe.
"Beefstake toe..." Help, we need somebody, help, not just anybody, help, someone who can read the original page and translate it for us...

At least the bug file in the Readme is in English...
  • not support NES disksystem
  • not support GB SRAM save
  • NEOGEO Pocket not support PCM.
  • NGP is very slow, not support STATE SAVE.
  • SMS Plus not support PCM play (depend on SMSPlus)
  • CDROM2 support under construction

» How to run PC-Engine CD-Roms on PSP

O.k. i'm using PCEP to run PC-Engine CD-Roms, tried it on e(mulator) but didn't work for me. Though I heard some commentarys, that they would also run on e(mulator).

Instructions for noobz:

1. Search for the "Super CD-Rom2 System Card Version 3.0" on the net, and throw it in the folder of the emulator (either PCEP or e(mulator)). Should be a file with a .pce ending
2. download rar-file of PC-Engine CD you wish
3. decompress the rar-file (should get you a list of files)
4. Change the name of each file
(for example:
track01.iso >> 01.iso
track02.mp3 >> 02.mp3
track03.iso >> 03.iso
so you simply have to cut the 'track'-part)
5. If you do not have mp3-files, like for example xx.ogg files you have to convert them all to mp3-files. There are about a million of apps which do this work very easily.
6. Now get the TOC-File. This was for me the hardest part, because there are not many explanations on the net.
How do you do a TOC-File?
>Go to http://www.necstasy.net/, there are almost for every game a TOC-List.
>Copy the TOC-List (from 'Track 01....' to 'Track whatever')
>Use a Text-Edit-Application and paste the TOC inside
>Save it as a .txt-file!!!
>Search the file and change the .txt ending to .toc ending
>Throw the xxx.toc file in the same folder, where you have all the other iso and mp3 of the game

7. start PCEP or e(mulator)
8. run the System card
9. go back to the menu (on PCEP: press a shoulder button)
10. choose a CD-Image: go to the folder where you have all the game-files
11. your TOC-file should be highlighted, choose it.
12. now it should run perfectly.

I loved Y's, Exile, Cosmic Fantasy and Dracula X on the PC-Engine. Was great having them run on the PSP. The anime-intros are simply brilliant!

Have fun. Hope everybody understood, my english is not the best.

greetz from Switzerland.

p.s. dark_alex is simply brilliant. SE-B'' is incredible!!!!

 » use Kxploit

Download and run KXploit 0.3. Plug in your memory card or PSP and put in USB mode. Enter a title, specify the memcard location, and pick the eboot file in the middle box. It will be in the PSP folder of the emulator (it must be unzipped.) Click create files and it will make 2 files on the memory stick. Put your roms into the file without a %.
