Turning your PSP into a universal remote control seems to be all the rage these days! AhMan has updated his iR Commander and added some new functionality, giving you even more reason to let the PSP control your life in a multitude of ways!

  • Distributed with IR Codes for over 2000 devices. These codes are obtained from www.remotecentral.com. It includes the complete set of both standard Pronto Hex Codes and Discrete Codes from the site, except the codes from ccf.
  • Increase the maximum number of keys from 24 to 48. It now supports analog pad. Pls refer to the sample "Panasonic TV.rdf" for details.
  • Supports directory browsing in the main menu.
  • Supports directory view or RDF file view by pressing Square button toggle.

Update: AhMan works too fast - just hours after we posted iR Commander v0.7 he released a newer version. Here are the new changes, and the new download:
  • Support shortcut remote lists which allows you to switch directly from 1 remote to the other by pressing START button. Refer to "Panasonic TV.rdf" for details.
  • Support Macro pause time. Refer to "Panasonic TV.rdf" for details.
  • Bug fix for missing files if the file attribute is set to read-only.

Will this ever hit the 2.01+ hb or it's just hard to find it out?

The Universal Remote is still compatible with more devices, right? Or is this the one to get.

And I think it is more likely to work eventually on the GTA loader (2.01+) than it is to work on the TIFF loader (2.0) because GTA loads the IR stuff, and the TIFF exploit doesn't.

Universal Remote is not nearly as powerful or flexible as this. iR Commander is great.

It doesn't have my TV. Universal Remote does have my TV, but it just locks up whenever I choose it.

2000 TVs here, 1800 in Universal Remote and mine isn't anywhere in sight. I've tried so many other TVs that were supposed to have the same codes and *Sigh* nothing. I can still shut off everything ELSE in the house though, and control my cable box. Guess that's something. :P

Can anyone confirm that this works with the eboot loader? I think kernel mode is needed for the ir signal to work, any feedback?

Did this work on your guys' PS2 because it didn't work on mine?! Are there any special things I'm supposed to do? All I did was drag "Playstation2" into the IRCOM folder.
