pspWxp3.5"Get the most advanced, most realistic PSP portal NOW!!!"

That's the so-called tag line for pspWxp. Got you interested, eh? As you might have guessed, the pspWxp is a PSP portal, which is roughly based on winpsportal, a free Windows XP portal for the PSP. Basically, it's a set of web pages that enable you to run Windows XP on your PSP, which runs on firmwares above 2.00. And nope, it's not a homebrew app, either.

Now, TombstoneTim just released version 3.5 of this portal, and here's the changelog to let you know the new features and bug fixes in this particular version:

New features:

  • Added "User Additions" tab to the Start menu.
  • Added "User Additions" to the My PSP application.
  • Updated this Readme file with new info.
  • Added new Installer by BigBondFan to the ZIP download.
New apps
  • Day Organizer by Ocean19
  • PSPDF Viewer by Ocean19
Bug fixes
  • Fixed the "Home" button link on the Internet Browser.
  • Three apps links fixed - Clock, PSPhone, Phone No. Converter.
  • PSPTunes fixed so top player frame appears when first started up.
  • Fixed the My PSP File browser/loader app.
  • Fixed MY PSP Script error that occurred upon opening.
  • Fixed the Applications list in My PSP...all apps links work from here now.
  • Images redone to be compatible with IE viewing:
  • Desktop-Calculator
  • Internet Browser - Home, Back, Forward
  • Start Button and Start Button mouse over image
  • Added TombstoneTim's working version of pspWxp Text Editor.
  • Fixed minor Syntax errors on all HTML pages in the portal.
  • Added the standard gray pspWxp background color to a few games and apps in the portal.
  • Made the appslist, gameslist, and new userlist from My PSP clickable links...can navigate with PSP D-Pad now.
Can't wait to try it out? Click on the download link below. Just make sure to check out the readme, as it has loads of details that you might want to take note of.

Thanks, ocean_19 for the tip!

if they really wanted to make it reallistick, they would make it for every 15 minutes of use, it would crash ;)

 » number 11 fix

just back 0 thru the error and and type in the adrress manually. then set the address you typed as a bookmark. the error will always happen unless you set a usable page as your homepage..
atleast thats what happens to me.

12# your sure that flash is enabled?
works fine for me on devhook

   by Chris (Unregistered) - 2006-09-13
 » WOW!

Probably the best flash portal around! very realistic, but i don't like the startup sound....it's kind of glitchy, is there any way of removing it or disabling it?

I have tried removing the sound file from the folder but the application starts up then says 'content can't be displayed' as it tries to play the sound...it's got to be set to automatic somewhere.

....but where?

Any suggestions?

Great Work TombstoneTim keep it up ;D

If you have the "not enough memory" problem, clear your cache turn cache to "Do Not Use" Restart your psp and it should be fine.

If you have the "Content cannot be displayed" Switch your veiw mode to "Normal", alos don't test it on the computer or else it will just say "Please wait" Try it on your Psp or else it won't work.

The start-up sound i'm not sure if it can be removed come to http://blazebyte.myfreeforum.org/index.php and post about it and also if you come to the forums please search for your problem first and don't post about problems in seperate topics,

Thanx, AndyMosh.

 » ok

for all you who have this change chache sixe to do not use for bestr esults and screen size for normal

if this still doesnt work, try re-downloading it again

and to disanable flash you must get rid of the flash sound

by AndyMosh from the PspWxp Team (Unregistered) - 2006-09-13
 » Yes it will...

Yes it will because it will have flash enabled right? So there you go.
