Percival and PSP 3D have released Super Mario War v1.0 for the PSP, a port of the Open Source Super Mario deathmatch game, originally developed by Michael Schaffer and Florian Hufsky. The goal is to stomp as many other Marios as possible to win the game.

The PSP version features tons of different characters and maps to choose from, as well as a complete library of music, CPU AI, and a variety of game modes. It's fully mod-able too.

Those who are using 1.5 firmware will have to wait a bit longer as Percival is still fixing the mysterious problem that's causing the screen to go black after start up. We'll post the port for the 1.5 version as soon as problems are fixed. The lucky 1.0 and 2.0+ users should have no problems when running the game.

 » No 1.5?

I wonder if I emulated 2.0 with Devhook and used the Eloader if it would work LOL. Weird how the only system with full kernel acess can't load a homebrew, but 2.00+ can...

1.50 isn't teh only one that has full kernel access, so does 1.0 and it works on there.

 » Homebrew that doesn't work on 1.5 that's a new one

It is surprising that this will not work on 1.5 but it will with the eLoader, it's usually the other way round. Hopefully it will be fixed soon it looks like good homebrew.

I tried it, and it refuses to load, it just reboots back to the eLoader menu. Does this work for anyone?
