And how goes the gamers from the UK for the week past July 17? Chart Track's been busy as a bee, and it appears all you Harry Potter fans were, too. Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, mobiles) from Electronic Arts is still "leviosa-ing" at the top of the charts with Activision's Transformers: The Game rolling out at second. And those who haven't got their minds locked on either movie-based games are still bench-pressing those neurons with More Brain Training from Dr. Kawashima from Nintendo, with fellow Nintendo brain-twister Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree close in tow. Fifth spot is Wii Play's playground, with the Nintendo title still frolicking in the top ten, Wiimote in hand. Activision's Shrek The Third lumbers over to number six, while Take-Two's The Darkness lurks on number seven. Nintendo's Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training brainstorms to eight spot, while simmering in at number nine is 505 Games' Cooking Mama. And re-entering the charts is Electronic Arts' Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 with a straight cut into the all-platforms' upper ten, giving the golfing title a shot for the birdie.

And for the week concluding at June 26, Microsoft's Forza Motorsport 2 still races ahead of the rest across all platforms in the UK, following a successful second-running at first place last week. Second place is tied up for Take-Two Interactive's Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, after sitting comfortably at the eight spot a week ago. Codemasters' Colin McRae: DiRT has climbed up one spot to take third place, while exchanging seats with Disney Interactive's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End which now sits at fourth. Nintendo's Wii Play frolicked with the Wiimote on the fifth spot for yet another week, with Activision's Spider-Man 3 still doing strongly in sales at sixth spot. Last week's second placer Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary from Eidos now takes seventh place. Nintendo's Dr Kawashima's Brain Training falls one spot to number seven, followed closely behind by Pro Evolution Soccer 6 by Konami. 505 Games' Cooking Mama re-enters the top 10 from 13th place, displacing Nintendo's Mario Strikers Charged Football from the upper bracket of ten.

And UK sees a new winner up top the Chart Track UK all-platforms chart, as Microsoft's Forza Motorsport 2 shifts gears for a lead the week ending June 9. The newcomer shoved Disney Interactive's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End down to the third spot, while Eidos' Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary holds the number two seat for the second week in a row. Activision's former three-week topper Spider-Man 3 now drops to a fourth spot from third, while Nintendo's Wii Play unseats Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 6 for the number five spot. Nintendo's other Wii-only title Mario Strikers Charged Football drops two places to sixth, and serious soccer title PES 6 tails its fun variant at seventh. And yet still strong on the charts is Dr Kawashima's Brain Training from Nintendo, followed by 505 Games' Cooking Mama for the eighth and ninth spots respectively. Microsoft's Shadowrun enters the top 10 from the 11th spot, kicking EA's former tenth placer FIFA 07 down to the 14th spot.

Taking a gander over at UK's game sales tracker, we've spotted Disney Interactive's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End taking top spot of the all-platforms chart for the week ending June 2. It has moved from the second spot to first, thanks to taking the top spots across the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PSP charts, while Wii, DS and PS2 gamers found other games more interesting. Biggest newcomer is Eidos' Tomb Raider: Anniversary which solidly took top spot from nowhere, thanks to a solid fan support from gamers on Sony's PS2 and the Lara fan club on the PC. Activision's Spider-Man 3, formerly on top of the list for a good four weeks, is now dethroned and seated firmly at third spot. Next Level's Mario Strikers Charged Football still takes a strong solid support from millions of Wii gamers, while taking the fourth spot on the charts. Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 6 still solidly beats EA's FIFA 07, with the former spotted midway up the charts at number five and the latter blocking any other title from unseating it at the number 10 spot.

You can also choose to pay attention to history or not by flying through the game's simulation mode or the arcade mode. In any case, why not relive more historical flighty goodness with some screens? We've got 15 of them for you to enjoy, so take flight and let your imagination soar. Enjoy! More screenshots after the jump! |

Now Japan's escapologist's dream title Kangaeru Exit
from Taito still isn't announced yet for a U.S. release (hence the
short hiatus we've had from covering this game), but it's seemingly
taking PSP gamers by storm in the UK following its release about a week
ago. You could always try to import the title, though. *wink, wink*Exit 2, as it's known in the West, was welcomed with mixed reactions by the fanbase. But seeing as the game still won't be introducing the new concept of "Help me out, companion!" to U.S. Exit-enthusiasts anytime soon, the game is still being clamored for by gamers on-the-go. Features that have been improved for Exit 2 include:

If the fans in Europe are beginning to wonder when they will be getting their share of the cosplay-cuteness that is Nihon Falcom's Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure game for the PlayStation Portable (PSP), look no further. UK-based video game publisher 505 Games has just announced that it will be distributing this 3D platformer for Europe's enjoyment this April 13 for £ 29.99 (US$ 58) - make sure you're well-drilled in Parin's antics before the said release date. In case you haven't been keeping up with this game, Gurumin tells the story of Parin, a 12-year old girl with the ability to see monsters. When mysterious phantoms attack her friends in Monster Town, however, Parin, with the help of a legendary drill, sets off on an adventure to save her friends. Gurumin was released in North America on February 13 this year under Mastiff LLC, and in Japan on August 30, 2006. We also have another batch of screenshots awaiting below, in case the first-time readers are wondering how this game looks. Enjoy! The packshot (and more screenshots) are available in the Full Article! |
