Almost two years after it was last updated, homebrew dev Akop Karapetyan (aka uberjack) has released a new version of his Atari 800 emulator for the Sony PSP. This version adds support for ZIP files and comes with an update for the virtual keyboard, among others.

July 7, 2009 - This marks the day of Namco Bandai's completion of purchase of Atari's global PAL distribution operation. And since there's new blood infused, it's just right to have a new name to go by: Namco Bandai Partners.

There were already a few signs hinting that Atari was having some trouble holding on to the Dragon Ball franchise. A couple of years ago, the publisher clashed with FUNimation over the game license. Namco Bandai announced last month that it had secured publishing rights to three new entries in the franchise. Today, Namco Bandai has announced that it's finishing what it started.

Homebrew coder Geecko has released a new version of BreakOut4PSP, a homebrew game based on the classic Atari arcade game Breakout. The latest update adds new features, improved performance and some more bug fixes.

For the weekend directly leading up to the E3 event, it sure was jampacked with news, wasn't it?
