While its big brothers (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC) are gearing up for release, the PlayStation Portable version of Sega Rally Revo also plans to hit the ground running on release. So, what's up with the PSP version of arcade coin-op racer's resurrection? We got info and some screenshots of the video game that you'll surely find interesting. Well, Sega has entrusted the development of the handheld version to Bugbear Entertainment, devs known for FlatOut. As of the moment, little information is known about Sega Rally Revo on the PSP, though IGN was able to dig up a couple of things. Reportedly, the racer will feature 34 cars and 16 tracks on different environments. Multiplayer can be done via Ad-Hoc play and online through infrastructure support (four players), plus Game Sharing for two players. The screenshots of Sega Rally Revo, on the other hand, show some fast racing on different types of terrain, ranging from slippery tracks coated with snow to muddy and dirty. Also, we see one on asphalt and others on dirt of different consistencies. Anyway, we'll bring you more Sega Rally Revo news and info when they become available, in the meantime, check out the screenshots. Enjoy!

We've gotten word that Bugbear Entertainment's popular racing series FlatOut will be heading to the Sony PSP handheld system as well as the Windows PC gaming platform this fall. For the first time, the FlatOut franchise will be making an appearance on handheld systems with FlatOut: Head On for the Sony PSP. The PSP game will be developed by video game developer Six by Nine while Bugbear will be taking care of the PC version of the Xbox 360 original FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage. Both games will feature real world physics, three different game modes and (this is presumably for the PSP version only) Wi-Fi racing, stunts and competitions. FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage and FlatOut: Head On are currently slated for release in Fall 2007. |

Hot off the presses of Play France: Both SEGA Europe and SEGA of America have confirmed that Bugbear Entertainment's SEGA Rally will be available for the PSP, and the two are considering an Autumn 2007 release for the SEGA Rally PSP title.SEGA Rally has featured exceptional graphics for its genre, as well as competitive racing modes and ease of controls. These three factors were the main emphasis in developing the SEGA Rally series. Director of the SEGA Racing Studio, Guy Wilday, also says that the inclusion of Wi-Fi and online multiplayer modes which allow players to show off their racing skills with their friends was also considered in the development of the game because these modes were expected from SEGA Rally. He adds, SEGA Rally is regarded as one of the best video games, and this new version for the PSP is a good example of what one can expect from traditional gameplay applied on current machines (cars) out in the market today. SEGA Rally is to be remade from scratch for the PlayStation Portable and developed by Bugbear Entertainment Ltd. under the direction of SEGA Racing Studio, so we can be assured that it's not just a port. The franchise will also be available on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC autumn this year. |
