Knight Legend, from Chaos-Gamerz, has just released the latest iteration of an evolving PSP game called World of Chaos. World of Chaos was first announced several months ago and since then has been working on the game, and a very early build has just recently been released. We missed the first release of this game, however we are here to cover this one - slightly better than the previous. For those unaware of the game you play Knight Legend himself (appearing as our favorite Zelda character, Link). You can navigate Knight around the screen and attack, that's pretty much it for now. Apart from the previous public beta, this build has improved on the sprite's movement and features a new menu.

The game isn't much right now, however the author has some high goals with this game series he is creating. I was personally stunned by this game, mainly for one reason - no copyright infringement. In the past we have seen several games use copyrighted sprites and names, however this game does not fall into this category. The author uses legal sprites (Public Domain) and we hope that other inspiring developers do the same so no one has to play "police". With that said, enjoy this very early build of a long-awaited game!

Chaos-Gamerz - Image 1Not much details for now, but given that we tend to heed user submitted tips especially if they're from developers, here's a bit of info on World of Chaos: Online, the supposed second PSP MMO.

The site that Mr. Chaos led us to in his tip notes that the PSP brew by Chaos-Gamerz is set to feature chat, online play (doi), a money system, and more. The site also informs that Chaos Gamers will be releasing 4 more World of Chaos games. They are:
  • WoC Chapters 1 - 3 - all of which are side scrollers.
  • WoC: Tournament - which is supposedly set to be a PvP sidescroller like DarkStalkers. The site hints that Chaos-Gamerz may make this online.
Well, thanks for the tip Mr. Chaos! Just be sure to get that game out ASAP okay? The Chaos-Gamerz website can be accessed via our "read" link below. Head there if you want to know more about their plans for the Sony PSP.

The Click Game - Image 1

Yeah, the infamous Lua homebrew game is back with even more mad clicking following its heels. MrChaos in the QJ forums informs us that PSP7 of the Chaos-Gamerz team has bumped up their anti-boredom game and released The Click Game v0.05.

We know how the lot of you had a thing or two (to put it mildly) to say when the first version of this 'brew was released. Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And in the same way, everyone is also entitled to release whatever game they want to create in C, Java, Flash, or, in this case, Lua. Give him some love, why don'cha?

Besides, there are improvements. A couple of features which they wanted to have (like restarting) in the first version are now included by PSP7 in this new release. Changelog matters for v0.05:
  • Menu
  • Restart feature
  • Save feature
  • Backgrounds
For the Lua player newbies, you can install the game by:
  • Extracting 2 folders, luaplayer and luaplayer%
  • Placing both folders into the GAME150 folder (note: it has to be GAME150)

The Click Game - Image 1MrChaos of the Chaos-Gamerz team has put up something interesting over at our forums. The Click Game is actually a homebrew game that, well, "records the amount of clicks you do." Now, that may not seem much, but still, it gives you a little something to do when you're bored. And it's way better than just counting cracks on your walls, too.

Anyhow, this released version is 0.01, so don't expect it too be all to complex and ultra-challenging to your clicking skills. For now, it also doesn't have a restart feature but it'll get there, don't worry. Supposedly, it has music and more, but for this version, it was removed for the meantime.

So, we won't be keeping you for long. Get those thumbs to work and enjoy The Click Game.
