Iron Man as seen in the Marvel Comics Civil War series - Image 1When you've got a powerful suit of armor, what do you with it? Why, you use it, of course. In the case of the Iron Man video game, that would mean using it against tanks, missiles, fighter jets and what not. Sega's captured it on video, too. Turn to the full article after the jump for some high-flying armored action.

Spike TV invaded San Diego for the Comic-Con recently, and their footage is finally up. Regular host Geoff Keighley was able to grab a hold of a couple of videogame icons and celebrities, and interview them in this edition of GameHead. Today's video has a quick sit down - actually, they were standing up, rather - with none other than David Jaffe, who was talking about his Eat Sleep Play project (details of which can be found here).

Past the 3:02 mark of the episode though, we have Jaffe pitted against videogame movie director Uwe Boll. We never thought that both names could ever be uttered in the same sentence, much less be inside the same camera frame, but here they are. And if you've got both Jaffe and Boll in the same equation, you can't not ask the question: "Will there be a God of War movie directed by Uwe Boll?"

Jaffe answered this honestly with a resounding "No." Boll, though, had a different response. "Wait until you see Postal, and then you judge." In fact, Boll already even has a rather... fitting actor to play Kratos. Viggo Mortensen. AKA Aragorn. Uhm, right. Watch:

What we have below is a video interview for Level 5's Jeanne d'Arc done during Comic-Con 2007 in San Diego. The clip features American voice actress Kari Wahlgren who is already famous for her previous works on some animes like Naruto and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Wahlgren is also known for her role as Shino in Namco Bandai's .hack//G.U. series, Fatal Frame II, and even in Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. In case you really want to know, she lend her voice to the character of soldier Teliko Friedman. During the clip, the actress talked about the main character and how it was kind of hard to produce a light French accent.

Anyway, we'll just leave you with the video. Jeanne d'Arc is already available in Japan. It will be released in North America this coming August 21.

Play-Asia: Final Fantasy Tactics figures available on September - Image 1Among the plethora of figures revealed at Comic-con was the set of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War. The series, which includes original FFT characters Ramza Beoulve, Delita Hyral, Princess Ovelia Atkascha, Agrias Oaks and Lion War bonus Balthier, will be available on Play-Asia this September.

These sweet collectibles will be on official Square Enix store shelves, but we expect blood and sweat to be shed by hardcore fans vying to get their hands in the jar of limited cookies - or in this case, limited first edition FFT figures. Play-Asia tagged each at US$ 6.90, with an extra sealed container for anyone grabbing eight pieces at once.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Image 1Yoda was a tough but fair mentor to his padawan Luke Skywalker and he grew up as a kick-ass Jedi Knight. Now what would happen if your mentor was Darth Vader? Ok, imagine being raised by Darth Vader and then given a light saber and having mind-boggling control over the force. Result, Star Wars: Force Unleashed.

One thing's for sure, being padawan to Darth Vader can't be easy. Even though the apprentice says he is committed to the Dark Side, Vader won't be an easy master. You're gonna get a whoopin' from both your enemies and the guy who was the Dark Side's rallying point for years.

Vader even subjects his apprentice to psychological torment, playing him to an Imperial pilot named Juno Eclipse, to see how love would affect his alliances. Hayden Blackman, project lead of the game, comments: "He's Vader. He's like the worst father figure imaginable."

Developers explain during the San Diego Comic-Con that because the protagonist is a "secret apprentice," he is expected to kill Imperial troops as well as rebels to avoid being found out. They also said that there will be a lot of familiar faces although did not name specifics. As for being able to play Darth Vader himself, Blackman simply stated that we "stay tuned."

Expect an all out demonstration of the force in this game. Blackman describes it as "amped up, out of control [and] over the top." The game will be released spring of next year for the PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP and Nintendo DS.

At Comic-con where thousands of hobbyists flock together, there are more than just collective sweat and cosplayers. An event so big can host all sorts of gimmicks, from dance contests to acting competitions. For us gamers, there are only two things to look out for: game demos, and game related merchandise.

Nintendo may be a no-show, but other big names in the industry were present to show their goods. Square Enix, for one, held nothing back as hundreds of figures went on display.

We're still wondering why no reports of stampedes or sudden aggression have surfaced, since any Final Fantasy fan of late will go crazy after seeing SE's offering. Plenty of characters that spawned during the beginning of the 3D era up to now are present, meaning FFVII and beyond. Don't be fooled though, because Cloud and his crew aren't in their original form - the FFVII characters are in their Advent Children versions.

Of course, the timeless classic Final Fantasy Tactics was also around. Tetsuya Nomura's Kingdom Hearts II got enough love, too. Other games under SE's belt also got their own space, such as Full Metal Alchemist and Valkyrie Profile.

Many of the goods displayed during Comic-con were available off the bat, but some are yet to fly off the shelves. Pretty much everything will be available from Squeenix' online store. To find some more of the photos IGN took, including the ones above, click on the Source link below.

Altair, Kratos, and Lara Croft - Image 1

Comic-con, aka Nerdvana, would have to be the premiere event this year after E3's less than stellar reception. While there are plenty of booths hosting game demos and photo shoots, a gamer's Comic-con experience wouldn't be complete without taking a few hours walking around the venue to see all the hot figures on display.

No, not booth babes. We're talking about those deliciously detailed figures behind the glass. Picking favorites is difficult, but some are simply so eye-catching that we can't miss them. The threesome of Altair, Kratos and Lara Croft masterfully created by NECA is sure to please the crowd.

Square Enix' booth offered countless of figures mostly dominated by Final Fantasy characters, yet we couldn't help but feast our eyes on this epic Lenneth piece. Diorama would actually fit the description more, as the star from Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is depicted flying over a cathedral.

Lenneth - Image 1

Like one would expect, it's tagged with a hefty price. You'll have to dish out US$ 450 to get this warrior-maiden.
