Kristof has come out with a hat trick of emulators for the PSP. In this release, the developer updates Commodore 64 Vice, and throws in a Commodore Plus 4 Emulator and a VIC20 emulator for good measure. So far, the developer has noted that Mouse Emulation is still not working while the two additional emulators are still a bit "rough." However, it should be noted that quite a few bugfixes were implemented including: NFO Comments now being fully displayed, the restore key can now be used more than once, game files with long file names no longer cause the PSP to crash, disk files can now be saved, and P00 files can now be run. Here's the rest of the change log:

After more than 20 years since his original conception on the Commodore 64, Rockford comes out with a facelift and a few tricks as he steps on to the handheld with Boulder Dash - Rocks!
To be released by 10tacle Studios along with co-publisher First Star Software, the game will soon be available for both the Nintendo DS and the PlayStation Portable. What we have here today are a few more screenshots for the PSP version of the title. Aside from the orientation differences on both platforms, the game seems quite the same in all aspects including the addicting arcade-puzzle fun the game induces. Boulder Dash - Rocks! for the PSP will be coming out first quarter of next year so people looking for a little nostalgia or just good old fashioned clean fun will have to wait until then. Dedicating to the avid gamers' world of game music devotion, the GCDC 2007 to start this coming August will also be seeing a live performance by the FILMharmonic Orchestra Prague on popular game soundtracks from Starcraft, Final Fantasy IX, Ragnarok 2, Stranglehold, Metal Gear Solid 2: Snake Eater, Secret of Mana and The Abbey Turrican 2.Conducted by Andy Brick, the orchestra will also perform popular classics in medley form in salute to the Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga as pioneering game platforms for the game industry, as stated by an official press release. The performance will be held at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig on August 22, 8 p.m. and won't be an official part of the GCDC 2007 opening ceremony. Also to appear at the concert is Japanese star opera singer Izumi Masuda, singer Conny Kollet from Germany fame, and Konami-sponsored percussionist Rony Barrak. Kollet is popular for her performances at the Symphonic Game Music Concert, of which this concert will be the fifth of the series, although many will know her for her rendering of the title song for SpellForce: The Breath of Winter. Rony Barrak will be performing his version of Metal Gear Solid 2: Snake Eater together with the FILMharmonic Orchestra. Masuda, despite being an opera singer, is more inclined to pop-opera pieces, and could be identified as the same one who rendered the song "Distant Worlds" from Final Fantasy at the concert "VOICES: music from Final Fantasy." Tickets are already being sold as of this moment. |

Last year, 10tacle studios announced that they would be releasing Boulder Dash for the PSP and DS. For the guys unfamiliar with the game, Boulder Dash was originally created in the 80s for the Apple II, MSX, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, and Atari 400/800 home computers. The game puts players behind the controls of Rockford, whose job is to dig through caves collecting gems and diamonds while avoiding hostile creatures and falling rocks. Fast forward to today, we we have received new details for this upcoming game, which has been renamed Boulder Dash-Rocks!:
