Homebrew application PSPSeq has really come a long way. It really is something because it transformed the PlayStation Portable (PSP) unit into a sequencer and synthesizer system. To make things even better, developer Ethan Bordeaux (aka ecb at QJ.Net Forums) just released a new version of this nifty program.
According to the developer, the latest version of PSPSeq as well as the older revisions are relatively well-behaved apps - meaning you shouldn't encounter any problems if you do exactly what needs to be done. This has been tested on most custom firmwares. As for the improvements with PSPSeq v2.10, here is the complete changelog:

A question for the aspiring coder/composer: Why bother with listening to somebody else's tunes when you can make your own? Ethan Bordeaux (aka ecb at the QJ boards) is letting everybody know that his PSP Seq homebrew's long history of upgrades has just hit version 2.00. We're sure guys who have been enjoying previous versions of this synthesizer/sequencer pack for your PSP will appreciate this app's latest incarnation, which comes with these new tweaks:

He says that this new version fixes a bug found in the sequencer when pushing on the D-pad too quickly. This could improperly transfer control from step editing to the transport. Along with that minor bug fix, he also fixed some minor GUI/ display bugs. He also issued a clarification as to how to install PSPSeq in OE firmwares, check out the forum release thread for that info. Download: [PSPSeq 2.01] Discuss: [Forum Release Thread] |

A little more than five months after Ethan Bordeaux released the PSPSeq v0.20, another full-blown update's been released - PSP Seq v1.00. It's now available for download for you guys who just want a "normal" step sequencer and synthesizer for your demos. The previous version proved to be a piece of work. Let's see what Ethan has got in store for us! He's got the list of features neatly outlined here:
UPDATE: We were informed by Ethan that he has released an updated version of his homebrew application, PSPSeq. Version 1.01 may just be a bug fix, but it did take care of three pesky bugs- "one with setting FREQMODE in some synthesizers, one with the loading custom presets, and one with the menu system." Keep up the great job Ethan and we hope to hear from you again in the coming days! Download: [PSPSeq v1.01] Discuss: [Forum Release Thread] |
