There's something about puzzle games that keeps us so addicted to them, and we can't exactly pinpoint what it is, but we sure like them. One such puzzle game is Farmind Ltd.'s upcoming video game Puzzle Scape.

In this game, what you do is arrange blocks of different colors into chains that are exploded by 2x2 blocks. They have to be of the same color, of course. In terms of modes, the game has two different single player modes while there's a total of four dual player modes. If you're really that sociable, you can utilize Puzzle Scape's wireless functionality that supports up to eight players in one go.

There are a lot of levels as well that challenge players to unlock various themes and scenes. To have a better understanding of this game, we here at QJ decided to upload the latest trailer video for the title. Puzzle Scape will be available this May for US$ 19.99.

Farmind Ltd

It's always good to see new game companies make their way into the mainstream, and one such new player is the Finnish company Farmind Ltd, which has just recently announced their initial offering called Puzzle Scape. A work in progress which uses Pixelgene Ltd's 3D technology, Farmind has noted that once the game is completed, it will be made available to consumers in North America, Europe and Japan. Not bad for a start-up, eh?

To play the game, players have to arrange different-colored blocks into chains, which then explode when touched by 2x2 blocks of the same color, an element which is fairly reminiscent of Lumines. Removing blocks and chains will of course gain the player power-ups and level-ups, which then bring new elements into the background landscapes.

In any case, they promise that their new title will have fast-paced fun, as well as the addictive element in it that would keep players coming back for more. Some of the features to look forward to would be:
  • Four unique themes with 40 scenes: World of Puzzle Scape features four different themes of interactive evolutionary backgrounds from cells to dream like landscapes.
  • Two single-player challenges: Work your way through themes and scenes, level by level of addictive block busting fun in time and goal oriented Architect mode and score-oriented free play Artist mode.
  • Two dual-player modes: Play co-op with your friend as Architect or Artist or compete against each other in Duel mode via wireless functionality.
  • Two-to-eight player fun with Bomb Run: Fast paced multilayer fun via wireless against two-to-eight players.
  • Save the achievement: Each scene can be saved for later viewing and can be used as a PSP's wallpaper.
  • Game sharing: A demo of the game can be sent to a friend over wireless functionality.
So, with that list right up there, we can't wait to see what surprises Farmind has up on it sleeves.
