Included in the mix are artists such as The Hoosiers (UK), Babamars (France), Bodyrox (UK), Junkie XL (Holland), and Santogold (USA), Simian Mobile Disco (UK), CSS (Brazil), Datarock (Norway), Dover (Spain), Ivy Queen (Puerto Rico), Junkie XL (Holland), Maximo Park (UK), Mexican Institute of Sound (Mexico), Peter Bjorn And John (Sweden), Planet Funk (Italy), Superbus (France), The Cat Empire (Australia), and Wir Sind Helden (Germany). Although it hasn't been officially announced yet, the Sydney Morning Herald says that Sony will be releasing PlayTV in Australia next year. As one of the territories that support Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-T), along with some other PAL countries, PlayTV being available in the land down under is entirely possible. So far, SCEE has only officially announced PlayTV for the UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain. PlayTV is the new feature made specifically for the PlayStation 3. It's basically a black box that lets the console pick up TV broadcasts via DVB-T, and the console can record the programs. The recorded videos can then also be transferred onto the PlayStation Portable. The Herald says that the biggest problem with PlayTV appearing in Australia may be the local networks' reluctance to have a personal video recorder (PVR) have access to their electronic program guides. We'll probably hear more about it from Sony Australia soon, so stay tuned for updates. |

Strategy gamers wanting to try Level 5's Jeanne D'Arc will be pleasantly surprised to find that they can pick up a demo disk of the game for free. This is a pretty cool offer and one that PSP owners should look into, considering the amount of hype this tactical RPG has been building up.The game is loosely based on the exploits of Joan of Arc during the 15th century AD when France and England were battling each other during the 100 Years' War. The gameplay is reminiscent of the Final Fantasy Tactics series with a three-fourths view of the map, action points, grid based movement, and special attacks. If you want to give the game a spin, head on over to PlayStation.com thorough our read link to find out more on how to get your free demo disk. |
