Future-Resurrection by Zion has undergone a lot of significant changes since he came out with version 1.3. The game is now a 2D sidescrolling hack and slash adventure instead of an RPG type of game. Overhaul is an understatement eh? First in a series of changes, we now know more about the storyline of the game. Previously referred to as "the character in a coma," Rick Valentino, will awake in the year 3000, finding out that everything he once knew has been changed by the evil Tanra Corporation. He vows to stop Tanra and restore the world to how it was once. Second are the graphics. If you noticed, Rick has also been made over to a sword-wielding-chap compared to the just-standing-chap. Also the background has changed from a countryside villa to a haunting dark castle. Even the menu has been given a face-lift. Changelog:

Zion, a developer from our forums has released v1.3 of his Future-Resurrection homebrew game for the PSP. The storyline starts with a man who awakens from a coma, but realises that the world is no longer the same, reminiscent of the film '28 Days Later'. Here's what Zion had to say about this release: "The game is very much still in alpha stage. but is improving day by day. I'm working on sprite animation, but want to code it in a new way, so its taking a bit of time. I have nearly got the interactive conversation aspect done, but i want to refine it a bit more." New features for v1.3 include an in-game menu, a proper title screen, collision detection, two CPU controlled characters and now comes packaged in EBOOT form so you don't have to use Lua Player to launch it. Zion has released this version to prove to those that weren't very confident in this game on the last release that it is still being worked on and will be a worthwhile game. This isn't one of those games that get released at the alpha stage then gets forgotten about and left behind. Well done Zion! One of our forum posters has designed another game to add to his growing collection for PSP LUA releases. Zion has created and began work on a new RPG called Future-Resurrection. The storyline starts with a man who awakes from a coma, but realises
that the world is no longer the same. In this sense it already reminds
me of the hit film "28 Days Later." The current v1.0 only allows you to move the player around the map, however he has stated that the next releases will bring it closer to a fully fledged RPG. Have a look, and let Zion know about any fixes or improvements that can be made on our forums. Please bare in mind again that this is only a beta release to show it off, and fixes are bound to come in the future. To play this, you need Lua-player. Download: [Future-Resurrection v1.0] |
