As we all know, events such as the Game Developers Conference are vital to improving the state of the video game in general. With that in mind, you may want to take a peek at the speakers featured by the Parisian GDC organizers. The event is scheduled to take place this June. More details after the jump!

Crank up that GDC lever and let's go full throttle. Our weekly Franken-update of sorts is complete with a hodge podge of proverbial limbs, tissue, and... fishies. There's some corporate politicking on the side, with more brew-waggling releases for consoles. Game length seemed to matter much for God of War's Kratos and GTA4's Niko Bellic, because as some of you might consider, size does matter - no, not that kind of size. Time for another wild ride!

Get ready to literally turn your world upside down as Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. (SCEI) reveals a new gameplay video of its upcoming puzzle title for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable with Echochrome. Taken from the recent GDC 2008, the new video takes a look at one of the levels players will be sure to come across once the game goes live this March. It's finally out: a demo of a Sony PlayStation Portable running the GPS accessory tool was displayed in the GDC 2008 event. We've heard about the GPS accessory for the PSP for some time now, but we haven't actually seen it in action, until recently. Do hit the full article for the picture, and for more details as well.

Are you enjoying the high-octane fun of futuristic racer WipEout Pulse? Did you like what the development team did for this installment of the popular WipEout franchise? During the GDC, game designer Clark Davies talked about how each game type should be approached when making a sequel. He also talked about how his team used this understanding to develop WipEout Pulse. Full details can be found after the jump.

Here's another update from the recent GDC 08. Stormfront Studios' bigwig Don Daglow talked about how developers can learn how to make and develop original IPs from movie games.
